Full-stack dev, 7 yrs since 1st job start.

Had a 2-yr gap between 1st & 2nd job (personal reason). 2nd company knew it and no issue happen. Current (3rd) company never asked, I didn’t mention — they assume 7 yrs exp.working for 2 years here

Planning to switch and unsure:

Should I disclose the gap now in CV?

Will Indian background checks (PF, tax, etc.) reveal it?

Is it safe to show 7 years on my resume? or 5 year only?

Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s dealt with this. Thanks!

I got my offer last year to join in Sept this year. Recently, I was made aware by people in the firm that there is an increase in salary across the board including my role. Some people joining the same role have received a new offer letters, but I didn't. How should I write to the recruiter to ask? (it's a significant increase of ~20% 🥺)

Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?
