Is it possible to negotiate your consulting level when joining a firm post MBA? I did ~2.5 years consulting (analyst > sr analyst) then left right before I got promoted to associate. Left to a Chief of Staff role (1 yr) then did strategy & Ops at the same company (1.5 years). Getting my MBA beginning fall 2023 and thinking of doing consulting again after I graduate but I think I would be coming in at the level I was before I left which is off putting for me.

I have been offered the consulting analyst position starting at 33.5k + 10k joining bonus, I’m wondering what the salary progression is like. In year 2 can I expect 33.5k with no bonus or will this go up? What about year 3/4 assuming I progress at the average rate? Thanks

When I spoke to the recruiter, she said she would consider me for a Consultant role (which is the same level as my current level at Accenture, at KPMG they start at consultant, at Accenture we start as analyst). Have 2.5 YOE and consultant at Deloitte. Huron consulting reached out to interview me for a Consulting Analyst position bc apparently analyst is (0-5 years) and associate is 5+. Does this make sense/sound right ? What’s the expected salary at an analyst level?

Hello guys! Hoping someone would like to help me out. I am currently not in consulting but looking to make entry. There is a posting for a consulting analyst position that I am interested in and am looking to apply.

I am just wondering if I can get some advice or best practices on how I can make myself stand out and get an interview.

Little bit about myself. I have completed B.Com from one of the leading business schools in Canada back in 2017 and currently work as multi unit store manager.

Would anyone be able to share the total compensation (base and bonus) for management consulting analyst or similar role at your company (1 YOE)? My company just changed bonus structure to flat 5% of base which seems extremely low to me.

Looking for analyst/1st year associate level roles. Worked as a consulting analyst and was a high performer but had role affected by COVID at around 9 months in (still on good terms with old managers, eligible for rehire etc). Thinking of applying to entry level roles but it seems there aren’t many- is this just because of the holidays? I’ve applied to a couple but haven’t seen much traction, and I have good experience 😔

Hi Strategy& fish! Quick questions. I recently applied for a SA role at Strategy& on the HIA payer/provider team. I have an MPH from a top program and 1.5 YoE (I'm currently a consulting analyst on the provider side). Should I also apply for the Associate level position or no?
