Hi! I have a case interview for one of the big 4. I applied for supply chain implementation consultant. While I do have experience in supply chain, I do not have experience in consulting. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to prep?

Case interview preparation;

Any one know of a podcast or other audio format focused on case interviews and examples?

I am aware of the Crafting Cases Podcast, and generally recommend their prep material, but I find the podcast episodes are 10-15 minutes worth of useful insights dragged out over 60 minutes. Not the best use of time even at x1.5 speed.

With limited time, being able to listen/prepare on the move would be helpful.

I have a case interview as a compensation/rewards consultant with MBB. Does anyone have any prep materials or recommendations on case interviews specific to rewards/compensation?

Have a case interview coming up in two weeks (AP, Strat Consulting, Tech/Financial Services focus). Haven’t done case studies in a while and need a ton of practice. What sites do you usually use to find folks you can practice live studies with? I looked at rocketblocks and most of the case prep members there are pretty junior or does the level not matter?

I’m listening to Victor Chang’s LOMS and can’t help but notice that his interviewee-led cases are… well, waayyy too interviewee led. It’s consisted of the candidate asking non-stop questions to the interviewer and the interviewer only sharing info that he/she asks. Is this how real case interviews are, or is LOMS just outdated? I’ve done my fair share of case interview prep and never have I seen anything like this. Anyone feel the same?

Has anyone ever (successfully) used frameworks from other disciplines as instead of usual structures you see in case interview prep? I have some generalist MBB interviews coming up- My background is in health & science not business- so applying things like logic models&theory of change models is much more natural for me rather than 3cs, etc. I feel they can be adapted for many case prompts, & I can apply them more confidently- but I don’t want to seem as if I’m thinking too out of the box

I have an interview coming up at BCG for a PL role. I've never done a case interview before but have been practicing for a few months now. Despite putting in all this prep work, I still don't know if I'd want the role if its offered to me. Basically, if I got the role, I'd be making ~40% more but probably working 45+% more hours. I've been weighing the pros and cons for weeks and still can't decide if it'd be worth it. Am I wasting BCG's time and my own if I'm still so torn at this point?

Originally had a behavioral interview scheduled for Tuesday. On Monday, Recruiter emailed me saying it had to move to Monday next week; I said ok. On Wednesday, recruiter emailed again saying it would be a case interview and attaching a take-home case. If i had been interviewed on the original scheduled date, it would have been significantly less work for me. Why suddenly changed their interview format last minute and required me to do at least 10 extra hours of prep? IS THIS A RED FLAG?

I have 2YoE in consulting, but It’s been more than a year since I last did a case interview. Is it suicide to accept an interview timeline with little to no time to prep?

I bombed a case interview and it lost me a job with a company I’m very interested in. To be fair, I didn’t much prep. I’ve done a couple case interviews and been fine in the past, but I for whatever reason I just blanked and couldn’t think. Recruiter offered to connect and give me feedback, but since has disappeared. I know it was the case. I’ve since done hours upon hours of reading and feel like I’m better prepared for the case.
