I don’t, I don’t get it. Like upper management doesn’t want diversity or they do want diversity?

I agree with you 100% and I’m glad you explained it here. Just as friendly advice without knowing the context your point is not immediately grasped. ❤️

If you had a table of customer experience/satisfaction survey responses for several questions (non-numeric but discrete possible answers, no free text; 1 question per column and 1 responder per row), how would you approach determining significant insights within the data? Excel's "Analyze Data" feature doesn't really suggest things that make sense in the real world. Is there something you would try with correlations somehow, or would you use a non-Excel tool entirely?

I am currently a fourth year mechanical engineering technology student and I am looking for a part time job. I have really sound CAD skills and I have been reaching out to companies and shops inquiring about work. Does anybody have a good suggestion for a type of part-time and/or remote work for engineers?

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

I lived in tampa in my early 20s and am now in my late 30s and looking to move back. One of the reason I left is because I felt I had too much energy for the city for a single young professional, but now husband is from there and we have a kid but we are both social people. Do you guys find it easy to meet interesting people and has the city gotten any more fun?

Hi all, i have recently attended my second round with manager.

Should I refer my SO to Google?
(Does she have a real shot?)

She's a Project Manager at a global auto parts manufacturer.
Her role is 30% technical, 70% business (meaning she has good problem solving and stakeholder mgmt skills).
5 YOE+Degree at a top engineering school in Europe
My experience at Google made her interested in joining the company, but we never really acted on it.
Could she be a good fit?
If so which areas/orgs?

(Also, are there any rules against it?)

Would I be dumb to start a PhD?

I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.

I want to do it, but don’t want to f*ck the rest of my life

Is this a toxic trait.. anytime I have an inconvenience, I look for jobs or do I just hate my job. I have applied and received several interviews but when it comes to that point, I back out and decide it’s best to stay. Resignation - I recently quit my job in a very toxic environment and I’ve been here over eight years. I think I should write something to the owner in appreciation but can’t to seem to find the words because it’s just been so awful. I don’t want to burn any bridges. Looking for input and suggestions.

I started a new job 6 months ago, since then my boss left, the team has changed and we got a new boss, and everything I was trained on when I onboarded is changing due to factors outside of my control..adopting a whole new way of doing things. I feel like I'm starting a new job all over again and not in a positive way. I'm not sure what to do. I'm getting burnt out already. Any advice?
