I got to know they are deliberately delaying the promotion and have been avoiding the same since long and got to know by senior management that we have hired lot of people for all roles mainly in GRC. I want to understand from others is there any chance of layoffs or it's just same across other divisions too.

I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. Guys, I interviewed at amex gurgaon 10days ago and was told by VP that I will hear from HR very soon. But when I checked on HR yesterday, she said interviews are still in progress and it will take a week more to finalize.
I want to know do they take this long to close a position? This opening was posted on 30th Sep.. It's already been 1.5 months. This is when they said the position was urgent!! 🙄
