Thoughts on PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certs? I have approximately 9 years of HR exp and my bachelors and MBA. Been debating on whether or not I need to fulfill my urge to get a certification. Wanted to get some thoughts around whether you have a similar background and opted to or opted to not get their certification? Thanks!

Got promoted to Mgr, non-MBA, SAP professional, Dallas, 124k. Which do u recommend? Deloitte, ACCN or PwC? Also what salary should I ask for?

I recently started a new job as HR Generalist at a small government contracting company. I only make about $66k/ year when previous i started closer to $45k but as a single parent of a kid in daycare, im struggling. I want advice on the best way to build my career as fast as possible to reach by goal of making $100k within the next 3 years in HR. What should I do to further myself professionally as fast as I can? SHRM classes? certs? PHR? all resources welcome!

So I just landed my first job as a genuine Project Manager. I’m curious, is it worth it to go and get a PMP, or even a Scrum/Product Owner cert? What kind of salary leverage have you seen with it? For instance, my current salary without the certification is $65,000 USD and that’s in the Chicagoland Area, but the company is out of Iowa.

I am looking for advice, I am software development engineer in Test ,have been focused on salesforce testing for last 2 years. I got my salesforce admin certification and I do some development work as well. I am between focusing on dev and get my dev certification and keep moving into a more technical role or maybe move to a less technical role like salesforce consultant. What would be a good career move? I have overall 10 years of experience, is it time for a managerial focused role ?

This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. I currently work on the customer size as an HRIS analyst. I’ve always wanted to transition to the consulting realm and have an interview with Collaborative Solutions. Does anyone have any pros and cons switching from the customer to the consulting side? Any insight if the Workday certification to be an consultant is harder than the customer pro certification?

If my performance has been a subject of concern among my managers in the past few months, should I even apply a marriage leave (it's a benefit in my country)? Or should I just tell them I'm taking PTO and then apply for the marriage leave benefit few days before? For the record, most of my wedding stuff is outsourced, so it has little to no impact towards me in terms of distraction. Would this make me even look worse if I do apply marriage leave?

Diagnosed a few months back and have been trialling medication. Started on 10mg Methylphenidate where I felt like I had the energy to do things but kept forgetting the pills, now have been on Concerta XL 36mg for a few weeks and not really feeling any effects. Still find it hard to focus and get motivated on tasks and generally distractible. Should I ask my Psyc about a different med? Just feel a bit overwhelmed with the whole process so far.. sorry for the rant!
