Offer help. I have 3 years in consulting and make 140k. I was laid off from ACN Strategy as an analyst and able to sell myself hard to another company. ACN wants me back, and will match my salary, but I am also getting offers from Firms for around 210 from different “boutique” consultancy and some T2.

Should I go back to ACN, make manager and look for an exit?

Should I join Deloitte Strategy as a SC make manager and exit?

Should I go to one of the boutique as a manager for 210 base?

What’s the difference between exiting at C vs M (or SC)? I’m interviewing for a Product Manager role that would net at least a 20% salary increase. At the same time, I’m having second thoughts about leaving consulting given the current trend of layoffs.

How are the responsibilities of a senior consultant differ from that of a staff consultant at EY? For some context, I received an offer at EY at the senior consultant level, but I was a consultant at Deloitte (before getting laid off due to COVID). Someone I know applied for an SC position with a fake resume. Literally no IT experience. Apparently recruiter bought it and scheduled a second round with a PPMD. I can't accept the fact that our colleagues are getting laid off and yet people like these get an opportunity to join the firm. Any thoughts?

They said this will be it for a RIF. (I hope so but don’t trust them.) 20 opted in, 35 moved to another position in the Firm and 15 were being let go. That makes 70 total when they told us only 60 people would be impacted.

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Has anyone seen any evidence that “confidential” engagement surveys are linked to reviews and raises?
I have heard murmurs of this. Been working my butt off in a very tough environment (great company, very toxic division) and they’re asking questions like “have you thought about looking for another job this year? Would you like to be working here next year? Does your work energize you?” etc. The truth is that I like the company and the work but I hope to move to another division next year.

Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming

I received a verbal offer for a tax consultant position but after one of my rounds, I became weary in regard to whether this position was right for me.
