Offer help. I have 3 years in consulting and make 140k. I was laid off from ACN Strategy as an analyst and able to sell myself hard to another company. ACN wants me back, and will match my salary, but I am also getting offers from Firms for around 210 from different “boutique” consultancy and some T2. Should I go back to ACN, make manager and look for an exit? Should I join Deloitte Strategy as a SC make manager and exit? Should I go to one of the boutique as a manager for 210 base?
Is Deloitte USI specifically in Oracle Cloud Technology, Is it doing layoffs? Level Senior Consultant
Just received a verbal offer from Deloitte Healthcare Ops and Transformation. The salary would be a big bump, technically taking a demotion from SC -> C I know they laid off people a while back and are now hiring again. Should I be worried about job security at all? What’s D’s work/life balance like? Appreciate any insight
Laid off in August. Was making $160k base as Senior Consultant. Was up for manager. New offer as corp strat manager making $135k. 7 YOE. Should I keep looking?
What’s the difference between exiting at C vs M (or SC)? I’m interviewing for a Product Manager role that would net at least a 20% salary increase. At the same time, I’m having second thoughts about leaving consulting given the current trend of layoffs.
How are the responsibilities of a senior consultant differ from that of a staff consultant at EY? For some context, I received an offer at EY at the senior consultant level, but I was a consultant at Deloitte (before getting laid off due to COVID). Any perspective from EY / Deloitte colleagues would be very helpful. Thanks!
Anyone recently get an offer from Guidehouse? (Most likely getting an offer as a SC) 6.5 YOE, Secret clearance, 1.5 years a Deloitte. Seeing mixed reviews but recently got laid off so beggars can't be choosers. What range is okay to negotiate and can I try to go for Managing Consultant? Currently at 120K.
Someone I know applied for an SC position with a fake resume. Literally no IT experience. Apparently recruiter bought it and scheduled a second round with a PPMD. I can't accept the fact that our colleagues are getting laid off and yet people like these get an opportunity to join the firm. Any thoughts?
Just got laid off, what would one year as a Senior Consultant in Strategy, an MBA at a top 15 school, and 6 years prior work experience get me? Any potential to get a strategy/BD position at FAANG?
Deloitte OCM laid off consultants and analysts. A recruiter contacted me about a position that listed Deloitte OCM methodology and ChangeScout experience as a plus. It is a contractor to hire position that can be remote now and into the future. The rate is too low for me and it seems@more on target at the analyst to SC level. DM me for Deets.
Ex-Deloitte (and other) consultants who got laid off: If your experience has been in strategy or payments, my firm is still hiring. We have positions open at Director, Manager, SC and juniors levels.
Anticipating some layoffs this summer. What is the payout for folks who are let go? SC, been with Deloitte for about 3 yrs
Rising SC in Workforce Transformation at Deloitte, grateful to be on a long term project in case of layoffs...but project is terrible. Would love to find new role, consulting or industry. Any leads?
Is appropriate to negotiate severance if I’m applying for a Senior Consultant position at a Big 4/middle market firm?
I got laid off and 3 weeks later a SC from HR sends me an email about an opening at the firm. Should I apply???
D fish - anyone willing to refer to SC role in Advisory? Might be a death wish given the layoffs, but yolo 🤷🏻♀️
I just got laid off as an SC at Deloitte. I'm going to go work for a startup and when it gets acquired by Deloitte in 2 years I'll be a partner and fire the SM that got rid of me. Justice!
Exit opps from CbD SAP? Don’t want to do SAP and about to promote to SC... want to get out before I get caught up in an inevitable layoff
Aware of any layoffs at SC level at Deloitte?
I work at EY as an assurance staff and I just got laid off this morning from the Greenville SC office along with 4 other staff and seniors.
Got the layoff notice today... 2nd year SC, giving me 4 weeks to finish the project I lead then 8 weeks severance plus vacation. Had promo nod to M. Got 3 but started as 2 at regional YE meeting.
Was getting paid 130k as an SC/experienced hire (~5 yrs consulting exp). Where do I fall on the continuum? Wanted perspective since I got laid off and am looking for a new job & don't want a haircut
when I got laid off couple of months back, one of the leadership I worked closely with for couple of years said that my skills are not right for the xyz firm and that I should take it - contd
Deloitters who have left for MBB or a big 4- did you get fired when you told your leadership? How did that work? Do you now answer “yes” when asked if you’ve ever been fired from a job?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Is it weird to reach out and check up on ex coworkers who were recently laid off? Had a director I worked with closely laid off and want to reach out to them. Also think I’ll be laid off soon FWIW
Mic laid off its entire staff, sold the name to Bustle, and is relaunching with an entirely new staff. Read the union's statement on the fiasco.
Fired without severance...haven’t signed anything yet. Is severance something that can be negotiated with HR? I have a call with them on Monday to discuss.
Should I take a 15% pay cut and leave Accenture for industry? Or wait it out to find a better paying opportunity? Worried about chargeability and layoffs, hate the process of getting staffed. Wondering if it's worth it though for such a big drop.
I'm dealing with life after a layoff and I don't think I'm alone here. 🐠 who have been laid off - can you share your experiences? How long was the job hunt? How did everything work out? Any advice?
If you are laid off and cannot find a job doing your day job, what will you do? I am trying to prepare a plan b and c. My car is too old for Uber eats etc. curious your thoughts.
If making banner ads suddenly stopped being a thing, what percentage of the industry would immediately be laid off?
From reading this app. I realize we have it really well at EY. Deloitte doing major layoffs, KMPG has to come in at the crack of dawn, PwC well the hours..
How long is too long to be an intern? I've been interning for about a 1 year and half now at 4 different agencies. All extended me until I'd leave for another agency. I was told bad timing/layoffs
Why are most people at larger firms scared of layoffs? Even the worst layoffs at major firms have only been around 30% of people, right? Unless you’re a low performer, there shouldn’t be (continued)
Are Deloitte layoffs over after tomorrow? S&O just let go 10-15% of the work force. More to come?
If you got a bad first performance review (actually bad, so figure a 1 or 2 out of 5, but no PIP and given the chance to improve, and also told it’s fine because first review), and you’re not getting fired over it, would you put a lot of effort into trying to move firms once you’re able to say you have a year of experience, or would you just try to improve your reputation at the firm you’re already at, since leaving after 1 year isn’t generally ideal?
Anyone know how to find our employment contracts on myKcurve? I want to see how much they will pay me when I'm fired
How are people "networking" now that we are wfh? I mean, you are barely even aware if people still work in the same company. Previously, you at least saw them every now and then at the office but now... They could have fired half the company and I wouldn't know
Want to leave the Big 4 because I am not particularly enjoying the service line I am in. Have been offered another role at a smaller global consultancy, but less prestige than the B4. Seems like I will get varied experience there but scared to leave the security and comfort the B4 offer. Any advice fish?!
I submitted my application to Tuck at 1am ET on 9/2.. do you think I’ll still be eligible for the guaranteed interview they offer if you apply by 9/1? Should I ask the adcom?
I currently have the amex plat card. I want to supplement this with the amex gold or the marriott bonvoy brilliant. Thoughts on which is better?
LinkedIn says they need Advanced SQL for this position, not intermediate, but specifies by saying “can use select and joins.” Can anyone at LI comment on how much SQL for analytics associate roles?
Any Deutsch LA CDs out there who wouldn't mind perusing my portfolio? I hear you have some cw openings and I'd absolutely love to work with you and for Karen Costello. DM if so and thank you!
Anyone have a long distance significant other in their client city? How do you deal with expectations to see each other everyday / be out at a reasonable hour to hang out?
What would you all say are the best consulting firms to work at in the federal government space? I’m not sure how many “prestigious” firms (like MBB) have a significant federal practice at all.

Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
Tips on negotiating an offer? Percentage increase if the role is a step up? (e.g. Senior Art Director?) I'm always scared of them not wanting me enough and retracting the offer
How do you raise an exit request at Accenture apart from email, is there an exit portal where you submit the request ?
Hello! I just received an offer from Deloitte USDC coming on as a Investigations Senior Consultant @ $110k, $5k signing bonus, 100% remote position (requested) Can Someone explain what benefits are afforded to me? Is the 401k match the same? Recruiter stated 3 weeks and 3 days of PTO…does that mean 18 days or 24 days? Also, can someone clarify the parental leave policy as compared to core? Can these be negotiated? I’ve been a 10 year Special Agent/Federal Agent and Officer with the military. Tx!
Had a final round last Monday. When is it acceptable to reach out to the recruiter for an update since the tail end of last week was a holiday?
Team leaders - If the team has a sharepoint or teams site, please use it. Managing the offline files you send us while the client is updating online creates so much unnecessary work and hassle
I reached out a week ago to see if a place interviewed with has any updates on their decision, should i check in this week?
If you put in your two weeks notice before promotion bonuses are paid, but promotion bonus payout day occurs during those two weeks, do you still get your promotion bonus?
