Someone I know applied for an SC position with a fake resume. Literally no IT experience. Apparently recruiter bought it and scheduled a second round with a PPMD. I can't accept the fact that our colleagues are getting laid off and yet people like these get an opportunity to join the firm. Any thoughts?
I got laid off and 3 weeks later a SC from HR sends me an email about an opening at the firm. Should I apply???
Just got laid off, what would one year as a Senior Consultant in Strategy, an MBA at a top 15 school, and 6 years prior work experience get me? Any potential to get a strategy/BD position at FAANG?
Ex-Deloitte (and other) consultants who got laid off: If your experience has been in strategy or payments, my firm is still hiring. We have positions open at Director, Manager, SC and juniors levels.
D fish - anyone willing to refer to SC role in Advisory? Might be a death wish given the layoffs, but yolo 🤷🏻♀️
Got the layoff notice today... 2nd year SC, giving me 4 weeks to finish the project I lead then 8 weeks severance plus vacation. Had promo nod to M. Got 3 but started as 2 at regional YE meeting.
Would you rather work for company A or B? Key factors to keep in mind: flexibility of working remote, growth and promotion opportunities, stability and not being laid off randomly.... Continued..
Sooooo... I guess I'm outing myself again by posting this, but in light of all the recent layoff drama, I wrote a hopefully-motivational post for those who have been let go: http://www.happyhealthydeb.com/ponder/2016/6/26/the-truth-about-being-laid-off (continued)
HELP! Recently promoted M1, and a very low-performing staff is threatening to go to HR with harassment allegations as a means to protect herself from getting fired. Suggestions?
Intern hire set to start Oct (Healthcare/MC)... All the layoff posts have me a bit concerned, and has me considering other options. Am I overreacting?
Do I have less chance of being laid off as a senior or am I just as expendable as a first or second year
I was going to take short-term disability to work on my health which has been impacting my performance. But, I think I’m about to be fired. Boss called and told me he wasn’t sure about my (contd)
Anyone else feel they are one bad concept or idea away from being fired. I have a pitch coming up and I feel my creative well is dry.
Found out that the C suite got -$80k/piece for bonuses last year. Meanwhile since February we’ve had two rounds of layoffs and no one in the building has had raises in two years. I am so over this.
If you were recently laid off or looking for a new position: we are hiring for two management consultant professionals with at least 5 years client facing experience. Please DM me if interested—thanks!
Over 40s: Do you spend your days consumed by anxiety that you'll get laid off and never work again?
So, thoughts on starting own firm right now. Laid off and doesn't seem to be tons of firms recruiting. I think I can start off for 3k with my partner and try and kill whatever we can get.
Glad not part of D and the toxic culture anymore. High performer laid off 60 days ago for no reason of mine and ready for next opportunity. Good luck everyone at D
I got a 4 for the first time. Now what? I was told that I'm not at risk of a layoff due to the reasons behind my 4. But is it true I will not get any kind of raise or bonus? I feel defeated...
Is it normal to ask about health insurance benefits of a company where you have an offer? Got an official offer but have no idea what the health insurance plans are like. Any smart tactful way to ask?
Interviewed for a senior UX role and got an offer letter for UX (no senior title). Said they wanted someone with a lot more experience and probably won't even hire for the Sr role for awhile. (Cont'd)
My project team the night before a big deliverable is due. And then we all wake up at 4am to finish #misery #woke
Hill Holliday in Boston laid off a bunch of people and so far, by my count, it's 13 women 3 men. 4 working moms. 1 woman 6 months pregnant. And most of the creative layoffs were women??
As a parent, I'm curious about how you think the quality of education is now differing with the remote learning? Do you think this is a degradation of 25%? 50%? Or are there some benefits?
Yesterday, I got robbed and had to go home after and complete my MBA exam on ethics.. The irony made it great 🙄😔
While looking at my company’s benefits guide for next year, my plan choices are between a 6000 deductible w/ no copay til that’s met, or $400 premium (just me, no spouse or dependents). Employer-provided insurance doesn’t seem to be much of an advantage over getting it yourself. Have you all noticed premium hikes? (Yes I get that we’re in a pandemic, but damn).
When meeting someone for coffee for an informational interview. What are some good questions to ask?
Anyone hiring Account Execs? Almost 3 years experience and have worked on integrated campaigns and managed digital production end to end in auto, finance and cpg
Hi all! I just wanted to share my experience with the CPA exam and how I prepped in hope that it helps some of you. I just found out that I passed my last exam yesterday and I’m now in the process of applying for licensure. I took REG and passed with a 75 about two years ago now. I also took the other 3 around the same time and failed all of them. I tried to fit them all into a semester but that wasn’t realistic for me. Fast forward a year later after I got out of PA and went into industry cont.
Interviewing with the CEO for a new regional role - never had this kind of interview before - what should I expect? HELP

Is anyone else falling for someone over this quarantine period purely through text and zoom calls?
What are sites you’ve used to successfully apply for jobs? Tried LinkedIn but just applying gets nowhere. I’m starting to reach out for referrals but want to try other sites as well
