That's a smart idea, actually. For me, I just strictly limit the kinds of gifts I'm willing to give and receive. My family knows I'm aggressively paying down my student loans, and I've been very frugal this year. I am making a couple of gifts for some very close family, but I'm not buying anything or receiving anything extravagant this year.

Yeah, that’s a really good way to do it. I like how you’re keeping it simple and meaningful. Handmade gifts always feel more special anyway. Glad your family gets where you’re coming from this year.
No matter how much planning I tell myself I'm going to do, I always put things off until the last minute. I'll take advantage of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, think I'm ahead of the game, and then start panicking when the 15th of December rolls around and I still have gifts left to buy. It's a vicious cycle 😂

I feel you 😂 No matter how much I try to get ahead, somehow December sneaks up and I’m stuck hunting for gifts last minute. Black Friday and Cyber Monday feel like a win… until reality hits!
I always make sure I have some money saved up going into November. And late in November, when the Black Friday sales hit, I do as much of my shopping as I can. I've gotten some great deals in recent years, and I'm hoping to score again this year.

That’s a smart strategy! I love getting ahead with the Black Friday deals. It’s always satisfying to snag good deals early and not stress later.
I started Christmas shopping in the spring. My closet is already bursting at the seams 😂 I still have a few things to buy, but nothing that I need to panic about. This is the first year where I didn't procrastinate, and I highly recommend.

Haha, I love that! Starting early really pays off. It’s so much less stressful when December rolls around. Your closet must be feeling like Santa’s workshop by now 😂

I do exactly this! $20/month gives me a couple hundred bucks to work with at the end of the year.

Yes! I love it so far. It really adds up without feeling like a big hit to the budget. By the end of the year, it’s like a little gift fund ready to go 😄
I write a list throughout the year of present ideas for people, then if they are cheap I just buy them, even if its 10 months in advance. I have a spot I keep all my presents in that nobody knows about and I do it that way! :D

Haha, that’s genius! Having a secret stash and grabbing things when they’re cheap is basically holiday ninja-level planning 😄
