Is this a good salary for a senior II leaving for industry? Its a senior accountant role for 100K in NYC

Recruiter from KF reached out for an Associate Principal role with ZS Associates. Said AP’s pull total comp of ~$1M. Glassdoor shows AP comp around 300k. Can anyone comment on validity? Don’t want to waste my time or theirs if the recruiter is just playing games. (Health Payer Digital / VBC)

Just got an offer from a growing private company for an FP&A analyst role. 2 YOE at Big 4 plus CPA. They offered 75K plus decent benefits. No 401K currently (told its in the works for 2021) or bonus. Its their final offer. It’s a MCOL. I like the people I’ve met but the only thing holding me back is I feel like I should be making at least 80K plus a bonus. Do y’all think the offer is reasonable? The recruiter said not many companies hire someone directly from an audit background for this role.

Offered a stable, okay AE position for 57 but also talking and interviewing with exciting tech companies for possibly 65.
It’s the holiday season and I would feel crap being unemployed though. Help?

Thanks for adding more hoops for us to jump through. Becoming a principal in KM has always been a question mark. I've been here close to a decade now and I thought I could at least become a senior director (like AP - both the position and the person) in a few years. Now I find there's another level to grind through and burn myself out with politics to reach the top. Truly, 2022 has been a horrible year at ZS. I feel like I've returned to a totally different company after the pandemic.

I feel like a handful of companies aren’t making it very clear if they are willing to hire you as remote and/or hybrid. What has been everyone’s experience while applying during these new times? I have had an opportunity presented to me to make a switch from the underwriting desk to the agency side as a producer. To my surprise the base pay is equal, however the producer obviously has new and renewal commissions. Am I nuts to leave my strict 40 hour weeks behind for a chance in the sales world? After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].
