I’ve been there too. When the role’s fine but not fulfilling, I try to tune into how I feel each day. If I’m dreading Monday or just going through the motions, that’s a red flag. For me, the leap came when I realized I wasn’t growing anymore and needed something that sparked more passion.

I made a move out of that type of scenario because I just couldn't see any open road ahead of me. Everything was going fine, but it just felt like I was going through the motions. I tried to think ahead two or three years, and I realized I'd probably still be just going through the motions and more or less stuck in place. That made me get serious about finding something more challenging, and it turned out to be the right decision.

I mean it never hurts to apply and see what else is out there if you aren't feeling fullfilled. There have been times that I applied elsewhere and didn't find anything so I took that as my sign to stay. If you feel stuck though it sounds like it is time to move on.

Has anyone moved away from NY and successfully resigned from the NY bar? What are the consequences if you just don’t pay? The requirements are insane to officially “resign” - draft a motion, pay a fee, send proof of service - I honestly do not know what this nonsense means, I’m not a litigator for a reason. Is there someone I can pay to do it? Should I just pay the $375 to stay active to avoid this nightmare?

PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. Deloitte fish: I’m an alum trying to do some retirement planning. I was an SM2 vested in the pension plan (I worked in DTTL for 7 years ending 2013) and want to find out what my actual benefits will be and at what age. I have no paperwork and 800-Deloitte does not seem to have a way to route me to the right people. Does anyone have a human contact or procedure that can help me get this info?
