Cognizant Recently cognizant have changed their internet wfh allowance policy.we use to get 1800 per month as internet allowance without submitting any bills or transaction details. Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. I am ok with everything but why i need to apply for credit card? How a company can force me to have a credit card? It will directly/indirectly alter the credit score right? Cogniza

I really think that the insurance policy given by mediassist is way more expensive for parental insurance, means who will pay for 50k+ premium and that too for large copay, I guess the leadership team should intervene here....Parental insurance is really important for any employee and most of the time is only needed.
Recently I used parental insurance and found that the insurance company only paid for 50% of the total bill.

I have a standing desk.
Dual monitors
Comfy chair with back support
My personal favorite: personal space heater lol

Agree with HRM1. I can also fit a 2X3 cube shelf under my desk for storage, which is great for the clutter.
If you really want to level up, get a walking pad treadmill under your desk and a balance board.
Slightly dated picture but very similar specs to your office, now have bookshelves behind the desk :)

Do you own that place? Make your guest room look like a YouTubers
Same as hr1 + walking pad. Looking to add beanbag chair (?) next for a casual workspace. This all has taken 2.5 years to pull off. I’d prioritize in this order 1) dual monitors 2) standing desk 3) nice office chair 4) desktop organizer that works for you 5) walking pad
As someone who loves a whiteboard, I went with an acrylic board for my home office. Painted the background with a design then mounted the acrylic to give it an art piece look. Everyone who sees it on camera comments on how great it looks while still being useful.
As others mentioned, dual or triple monitors, standing desk and specific standing mat. Walking desks are great but you need to be committed to using it long term- and have the ability to use it as well. Too many meetings can really dig into the wall time for me!
Not a great photo, but it’s 6’x3’. I’m shifting office and workout equipment around at the moment so it’s not being utilized well. I also put fairy lights around the sides for when life calls for it!
Adding that a good chair that fits you is most important of all unless you’re standing the whole time.
We had an interior designer help us. Do you want it to be exclusively an office or also a guest room?
Mine is in my living room which we use for other things, too. Yes a comfortable sitting area and a WaterRower that stands against the wall. I have a writer’s desk with a second monitor on the ledge and all of my work stuff can fit into the drawers if I want it to. It’s against a wall so it doesn’t highlight that it’s an office when you walk down the hall.
My husband’s office is in the dining room, and it’s only his office. He has a standing desk with four monitors. Instead of a chair, he has an ergonomic standing mat. The desk is positioned so you can’t see it from the hallway or kitchen. There’s a high top table with a couple of chairs behind where he stands and a small book case.
Add a rug that gives your room some personality and other furniture/decor over time that highlights the room as the space you want it to be. Have fun setting up your space!
Thank you for some ideas! Would love the space to be a hybrid guest room as well so I have some pllaning to do!
Two 42” monitors flanking a portrait 24” monitor. Then, have a KVM switch that switches all accessories between my two computers at the click of a button.
The 24” monitor is perfect for outlook, music and messaging (slack, teams, etc).
I bought 4K tvs. Much less expensive and work amazingly. Believe they are TCL, series 4 or 5. I’ve had them for 2 years without issue.
A good chair is important, IMO.
A 36 inch curved monitor was clutch. Sit stand desk topper a close second. Jabra speaker puck and Bose sound link. Costco desk chair and plants everywhere.
