Over the past five years my telemedicine appointments have increased from less than 1 percent to about 25 percent. Most of those are routine followups, prescription refills, minor illnesses, etc.

A lot during the worst of the season. Over summer it isn’t used very much. It’s been a real game changer for a lot of patients and I look forward to it being used more. Has anyone had obstacles to either getting it set up or people being reluctant to use it?

I’m sure others have considered this, I really feel burned out on my specific subspecialty. For the most part I do interventional pain management. I’m honored to be a physician and to help a handful of people, but any suggestions on changing specialties mid life? I have perhaps 15 to 20 years yet to practice..
