Hi all - I gave my range for Amazon non-tech Program Manager L6 role in Seattle (my YOE is 6+) as too high, and the recruiter came back and said they expect to offer TC of $160K-$170K. Is this the correct range? Not sure how to proceed, I do still want to interview but want to make sure I’m not getting low balled here. For context, I know for a fact I’m being under paid in my current role and would like to avoid the same in my next. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

So I had my first ever google interview with the hiring manager (L6 non tech program manager) and I thought I did well, but I did not. A client based in Japan had sent us a list of some Japanese texts and their English translations at our request which we needed. SM: Copy all the Japanese texts and their translations from document that client sent into a new document and send it back to client (to whom it came from) and ask them if they are correct. Me: Why are we doing that? SM: Just to ensure that we have validation in an email that client sent these translations to us. Me: Facepalm 🤦🏻♂️

Everyday I think about quitting & how much I hate my job. When do I say enough is enough and quit? I have a family to support & a ton of student loans so it not like I can be unemployed. Just recently switched careers so it's unlikely I'd be able to find something better soon. I feel so trapped. Sometimes I have thoughts that if I'm seriously hurt I can take time off suddenly & have a real break but I know that's not good. (More in comments.)
