I was the same situation, I told my dr and he wanted to test me for sleep apnea to see if my deviated septum was associated with it and if it did he said that would be the reason for anxiety and adhd lol
Is your anxiety treated through a psychiatrist? If not, I’d let your doctor know that while they’re currently treating you for anxiety you have some symptoms you don’t feel are being adequately addressed and may or may not be related to your current diagnosis (it’s possible to have both adhd and anxiety, but also many women are misdiagnosed with anxiety when they have adhd instead). If you haven’t had an evaluation by a psychiatrist, I’d ask for a referral or if you have, for a second opinion.
Sorry can't answer but I'm curious to know what your symptoms are as I'm on the fence and it would be helpful to compare to
If you’re in the US, you will likely need to be evaluated outside of a PCP office, but should be able to ask them for a referral. I was evaluated by a psych that specializes in it, and my PCP does medication management. If you’re getting anxiety meds from a psych, start there and ask them about evaluation process.
Highly recommend the adhd bowl on here or r/adhdwomen for more questions and others experiences with diagnosis
I went for a consultation and he first put me on lexapro for anxiety then I did an attention exam which after then I was put on adderall.

Just ask about it and describe all your symptoms. It's really that easy.
