Currently an A3 in assurance. I have two job offers: senior financial analyst (FP&A role) and senior accountant. Similar pay (a little over 40% raise), similar benefits. Will taking one of the offers limit me to just those types of roles going forward or would there still be an opportunity to do the other later on?
Anyone familiar with salary in orange county (SoCal) and LA/El Segundo area? Interviewed for a senior accountant role in a public health care industry in Irvine, but their maximum pay is 85K. I thought Irvine should have pretty good pay too but this surprises me. Even a private Healthcare company in El Segundo pays more than that for the same role but with even lesser experience and easier job duties...
Is this salary too low? I'm @ final interview for senior accountant and job posting said $60-65k. Before you say it's too low right away, my experience is on a low end of this of this role. Just 1 year auditer @ national top 10, 6 months intern at same firm, 1 year accounting intern at local private firm, and 2 years doing AP clerk. I'm a licensed CPA and in MCOL. I really want this title for growth but don't want to get stiffed. It's a large corp w/ great benefits.
When’s a good time to leave PA? An opportunity to join as a senior accountant for one of the top publicly traded companies just came my way and I’m a first year senior. Debating on whether or not to take it. Pay is close to six figures in the pacific north west - close to a 30% pay bump for me and great benefits.
I see that PwC has an annual $5,250 tuition reimbursement benefit. Is it pretty straight forward to get approval for? I’m an experienced hire thinking about joining the company. I am currently doing an MS in analytics and was wondering if I’d be able to apply this benefit towards future semesters of my degree.
Leaving the firm and the country. What do I do with my 401k? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Don’t plan on returning to the US anytime soon and I’m in my late 20s.
Fishies, I need your help. I received an offer for $160k from guidehouse. I’m currently paid $133k at EY. I don’t particularly love my practice as it is testing and the new practice with guidehouse would be IT strategy. EY has gotten me comfortable with the reimbursement for fitness, phone and internet and the promises from Kelly Grier of “really good bonuses and raises” this year. What would you do?
New to KPMG- out of town at a client, how does claiming a per diem work? I've just been buying my meals with my corporate card
Product Management - I am somewhat interested in trying to move into product management. I have led internal analytics product development at a prior firm, and have led clients through developing/improving “products” for their teams to use however I have not led “consumer facing” products and my experiences have not been as “formal” as many PM roles ask for. I work in healthcare and would want to stay there. I’m wondering if others have any thoughts on these transitions.
Why are you in agencies? What are the benefits of being in an agency over clients/media partners side? Trying to find a new motivation to continue staying in this industry..
Is Deloitte’s healthcare practice currently undergoing a hiring freeze due to rightsizing?
Who else drank their per diem dinner today 🙋
Would you rather travel every week or have a 90 minute commute to a local client client without any per diem or travel points???
Pros and cons of working in Dubai - have an opportunity to move there in January. Local package, no expat benefits.
How does the pension plan work at Deloitte? I’ve been working here for 3 years and never knew Deloitte offered a pension. I see a balance on my account but it says my statement is suppressed

Anyone have tips for paying off $136k of student loans (undergrad and mba)? I’m trying to make large payments but now I have no savings or 401k. I’m 25 and just stressed as hell about this :(
just joined the firm and needed to roll over my 401k. I got a check from the old brokerage made out to the new brokerage for the value of my 401k. Still haven’t sent it in to PwC. Should I hold off
Does your health insurance cover lipid profile and FBC testing? My plan is with UHG and I always have a balance to pay beyond the co-pay everytimr I go in for a routine blood checkup.
Wonder if people who claim to be more effective and efficient thanks to WFH and wish to never go back to the office are the same people whose jobs are more likely to get off-shored/ outsourced? At the end of the day, if it's just a transactional, "follow-the script" kind of job requiring minimal interaction/relationship/collaboration with other team members, why would the companies be incented to keep paying salaries + benefits when they can just as easily ship these jobs overseas?
Canadian 🐟 who have moved back to Canada, what is the best way to handle your 401k, Roth IRA, Plain old brokerage account, and bank accounts? I would personally like to not touch any of these and let them to do their thing in the US till I need the money, but I also want to avoid double taxation on all of these
Lot of negatives from Covid. Am curious to poll this crowd on what we think the long term positives will be, both for consultants and society at large. Let’s generate some positive vibes.

Anyone go off Mirena and just feel weird? I have been off for a week or so now and just feel off. Wondering if that is normal or if it’s just a side effect from covid exasperated with thinking that it could be a side effect from going off mirena..
This could be just the ticket to WFH sanity, Moms! Think the kids will be ok if we step into the WFH shed?
My manager despises talking about the pandemic and WFH policies, he said to stop asking about it during a team meeting. Anyone else experience this kind of tone in leadership? Shouldn’t they realize it’s going to be a huge topic for years?
I'm new to the Fidelity HSA account. If I have all my money in my HSA invested into stocks, bonds, etc. (No cash balance at all) and I suddenly have to pay for a medical expense, do I have to first manually sell the stocks to pay off my medical bill, or will Fidelity automatically sell the stocks for me so that I can pay for my medical bill?
In my offer letter it stated a signing bonus to be paid on the first available payroll after my start date. Its been a month since my first paycheck and HR and the Payroll team are incredibly unresponsive to my inquiry on where this bonus is. What’s the next course of action? Legal? I’m not at ACN anymore so not looking for ACN-specific advice.
Anyone been to cuba recently? Any watchouts from an immigration point of view. Planning to travel mid july
Currently on a project that has nothing to do with me. I understand developing a new skill set but I have no past experience that aligns with the scope and deliverables of the project. I've spoken with the PM and they say I'm still the best fit. I think it's just due to the firm being understaffed. Time to talk to my direct to get off that project? Thoughts?
Do you spend your entire per diem? Or do you prefer low-cost food options (chipotle for example) and save the rest of the per diem?

Assuming a consistent rating, are all staff 2 --> senior 1 promotion amounts the same across PI groups? For example, is the raise the same to be promoted into Strategy vs. Finance?
It took two months to an agency to tell me that they wouldn’t give me the job....back to square one! Agencies in NYC hiring right now?
