I am new to a role that has been vacant for 10 months. This means the employees were without guidance and oversight. I have been there for 5 months. I have received push back with implementation of new processes as well as continuous errors in the work being done. I have had repeated conversations about what is being done wrong and how to correct it, but it doesn’t change anything. Any suggestions on how to make them understand?

Try to meet the team where they are at. I am in a similar position where I am in a solo department and the person that preceded me was gone long before I was hired. I have wanted to implement a lot, but I can tell (even though it will benefit them greatly) they aren’t ready yet. I dedicated my first year to learning where each team was in the process so I could meet them where they are and build on the processes already in place.

Support your points w data and how it negatively impacts the Business Results. Historically has it been better if so when and what changes between then and now, is the data archived or being tracked prior to your arrival?

Did you just come in and start changing things without a conversation?

No, I didn’t.

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? For those of you who have been through this process, what was the overall timeline like? Non ROW. Appreciate any insights you can help provide! TY!
