I’m a freelance senior producer with project manager experience in pretty much everything other than pharma. Any advice on how to break in? Do I have a chance at applying for a less senior position?
H, I interviewed w/ “a-list” agency in SF for senior producer. Is $120K reasonable or too low? I have 7 years experience in a smaller market but worked on great brands and big directors/prod cos. Thx!
EPS, how did you go from senior producer to EP? Have 10 years experience and ready for the responsibility but current co has no growth. Should I change my current title to EP when applying for jobs?

Has anyone here completed the pre-recorded video interview for the behavioral interview from Cognizant? If you could please share any tips and tricks, it would be much appreciated.

Good Q. For our 1-3 year people, it’s a 1 hour 2 staff interview. Everything above that is about 2/2.5 hours with 4-6 practice leads/senior staffers and our GM.
Interviewed with EJ, RJ, and Stifel as a new advisor. which to pick? EJ offering way more base up front with small goodknight to start. RJ’s fancy AMP training program is just slap a yellow pages down and start dialing with little to no practice building training. Stifel seems similar to RJ, with less hidden customer fees, more flexibility on customizing your fee schedule per customer, and there is a possibility of the lead FA in the office retiring out soon with his 120m book.
Those of you who’ve had a McKinsey interview recently - how long after your application submission did the recruiting team reach out?
Interview Thursday and the recruiter asked me if I’d be open to freelancing. I’m up for it but it’s been a few years since my last freelance gig. What’s the going rate for Sr AD freelancers in NYC?
Hi fellow Fishbowlers,
I’m currently looking to transition from my current role at SAP to Microsoft in a Business Strategy Analyst role (Based in West Coast). I graduated in 2021 form a dual masters in International Business and Finance, and have vast extracurriculars in professional sports. I recently started applying to jobs outside of PA and I’m hoping to get out in late March/April. Any tips on staying motivated? I don’t want my work to suffer but I’m having such a hard time staying focused and motivated. (For reference I’m a Staff 2 with 2 busy seasons and have pre-PA work experience... PA life ain’t for me 🙄)
advice on switching from Public accounting at a Big four to an industry staff accountant position after only a little more than a year ? I have no desire to become some kind of CFO or CAO. I’ve been interviewing for positions at smaller public accounting firms as well as staff accountant roles in industry. I just want my life back before busy season….
For the first time, I’m interviewing for a non-sales opportunity at Edward Jones. I’m excited for it, but also nervous. It’s a back office remote opportunity. Has anyone interviewed for an Edward Jones back office job? How was it?
I am applying for some in-house roles and wanted to hear from other brand strategists who have made the transition. Thinking about job requirements like “experience developing a marketing plan” which a strategist would understand but not have experience developing...I’m wondering how you spoke about your background and skill set in an interview process to overcome a lack of in-house experience? Thanks for any thoughts
Is it a good time to switch to Deloitte considering all the recent layoffs ? Applying for a manager position in Deloitte Digital , not expecting more than 10% hike from my current salary.
Any Salesforce Delivery Manager (actually at SFDC, not in a consulting shop doing SFDC delivery) willing to share experience via DM? Prepping for an interview and would like to be ready as possible.
Interviewed at Workday and got an offer: OTE $205 with a 70/30 base/commission split. With $40K RSUs. Thoughts? This is for a senior presales consultant, I come from 8 years of industry experience and 1.5 of presales experience.
I’ve been trying to get into The Walt Disney Company for years and can’t seem to make any progress. I’ve tried introducing myself and connecting with recruiters on LinkedIn and of course, applying to jobs on their site. Would anyone happen to have any words of advice for someone trying to transition from the ad industry into the entertainment industry?
How long does the Deloitte offer normally take. The Deloitte recruiter said two of the three interviewers were out so he has not gotten to debrief with them. Is it typical to still get an offer after 2+ weeks of the final interview?
When emailing someone for an interview for the first time do you address them by Mr/Mrs last name or by their first name?
Was interviewing at Slalom but was told they’re going to “hold off on moving forward with the process due to timing” - is this a nice way of saying I’m out?? 😔

What did you score on GMAT? Wondering what’s acceptable as applying for top 20 b-schools
I finally came to terms with the fact that the career I worked so hard to build for myself, and in which I've done exceptionally well in, no longer fulfills me in any way. And to make matters worse, the alternatives I've been looking into and applying too just don't seem to be panning out. Fortunately, I'm still pretty young (28M) so hopefully I can turn this ship around somehow. Anyone been in a similar boat that may be able to provide some hindsight?

To any senior management or Partners how did you make it known and at what time during your career did you make it know you want to be on this career path?
Maybe a silly question but is it to early to even be thinking of this?

Help on how to present myself
I recently received a scholarship and finished a program for VC Finance. I am currently not in a banking/investment field and recently graduated. I have my undergrad degree in Econ. My peers in the program are all individuals (for the most) who have the MBAs/PHD and are already working in that world. I lack the experience, and would like to make the switch over but I know it is a highly competitive field. Any tips on how to deal with this?
Anyone with experience in leveraged finance, willing to share thoughts on CFA? Any other thoughts on the CFA will also be very appreciated.
Started working at the age of 21 part time (went to an university in parallel) in one of EU countries, moved around the globe relying heavily on my engineering skills. Now I am working as Senior Engineer. I feel like when I apply to positions at FAANG and saying I have 16 years of experience they see it as 28 + 16 and I am a bit old for their culture (ageism?). Should I lie about my experience saying 8-12 years to be consider?

I have been with my company for almost 8 years. I wasn’t certified when I started but I have been now for about a year. It wasn’t required before. I learned that my coworker who has been with us less than a year and had no prior experience in healthcare makes very close to the same amount I do. My boss says our rates are based on our experience which is clearly not true. One of our none clinical members who left was making the same as me. Does this seem right to you guys?

How do you deal with self doubt , performance anxiety, review comments? I try to go into every day being grateful, knowing they hired me for a reason, try not to make the same mistake twice. I feel like I’m never hitting a home run. I worry my higher ups are disappointed in me.
