I have been in management for the past 8 years and part of large corporations. I just recently joined a small organization that I have wanted to be a part of for the past 2 years, accepted the role of general manager. This organization knew that I don’t have general manager experience, no payroll experience, no experience setting prices, no purchasing experience and today, 6 days after starting, I have been asked to step down due to not being confident that I will be ready in 3 weeks…

How do you find exit ops?

Currently in IR and want to move to a better work life balance role....maybe engineering. Do engineers get paid more than responders/analyst? Looking to get the AWS SAA and maybe try to squeeze my way into a cloud sec role since i have about a year of AWS exp.

Anyone else just ignoring the mounting work load and perusing hiring boards? Just me?

Thanks for adding more hoops for us to jump through. Becoming a principal in KM has always been a question mark. I've been here close to a decade now and I thought I could at least become a senior director (like AP - both the position and the person) in a few years. I had 35 interviews in western canada. All rejected me and I was losing hope. But unv8serse answered and now I'm working for forbes 100 innovative company in Toronto. All remote and better pay. I felt my PM skills are old and not recognized. But keep learning and keep building.
