I feel more people should embrace async work. Why why is my week filled with standups and project updates which could be done over email/Slack/or a Kanban board?

I especially hate people who ping "Hi" and wait for me to respond, then ask the question when I say "Hi" back. Once they see my response they ask for a quick connect for Issue X. Why not just text the issue in the first message so I can know if it's worthy of a call?

For questions as to why you are looking to leave your current firm.. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? Is there a better way to frame my answer?
