Onsite is my dream & aspiration
I asked for promotion + Canada. SM replied promotion in Q2 or Q3 2022 first & then onsite later. Just verbal.
Financially ok now
Idea 1- trust them & keep waiting
Idea 2- demand promotion + revision for now by showing outside offer & onsite later on.
Idea 3- Switch with big hike
Total comp for Senior Manager, healthcare consulting (revenue cycle, provider ops) in NYC at big 4?
How much does Partner compensation vary across firms and how distinctive is the PwC pension? I’ve heard a big range for comp, from $400k - $1.2M. All I’ve heard about the pension is it takes 10 years as a PwC Partner. New SM trying to think many years ahead!
If anyone is looking for a referral to Deloitte, happy to chat! We have a robust pipeline of life science healthcare projects across the spectrum and are actively hiring across all levels (C - PPMD). Just to give context, the traditional consulting track is Analyst -> Consultant -> Senior Consultant -> Manager -> Senior Manager -> PPMD with other consulting tracks also available.
How much is the health insurance premium in Deloitte for SM level. Currently exploring an opportunity. Recruiter tells that they can’t share the info till I sign the offer.
Stay at Accenture (2nd yr Manager, would be up for SM December 2022) or take startup offer (Director)? current base $135k, bonus $15k, 401k match: dollar for dollar up to 6% of base. Stage E startup valuation from recent round back in March of $2+b: base $175k, target bonus 15% ($26k), .008% equity, no 401k match, free health/dental/vision for me and family.
Is it a good exit opportunity for B4 audit senior manager to go work for the PCAOB? Benefits sound nice but not sure what the path of progression is over there.
Big 4 folks- what is the pension actually worth? Does it become a meaningful part of your retirement if you spend a career here and wind up at, say, SM?
Is it appropriate to ask about the comp/benefits the partner group makes at a regional consultancy I’m interviewing with (top 30)? At B4 I know I’d start around 300k in my practice, great pension, etc. Obviously it depends on growth of the firm (300mil rev last year, projecting 1B by 2026) but I’m just not sure how to go about it. I’m already a senior manager so just don’t want to join somewhere with not much room for growth even if I do join partnership.
I can’t decide. I had my baby 14 months ago. I took almost 9 mo maternity leave. I am a high performer on path to Senior Manager promo. I love my job. My kid is priority. I have been lucky to wfh. Husband and I take turns but it’s getting unsustainable. Daycares aren’t good enough. Anyone is good enough. I want to have my cake and eat it too. I have no answer. Nothing will be good. Did you go through this? I can’t decide to give myself to my work or my son, because clearly can’t do both.
Joining Deloitte at a SM level in Aug - and we are expecting a baby in Jan.. will I be eligible to avail the paternity leave , so close to joining?
Also, how many weeks is the paternity?
Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.
They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?
Recently promoted Deloitte SM in GPS/C&M (TC - approx. $225K for those who care :)). In the market to switch to Healthcare industry at a Director level. Accenture and others are ringing my phone off the hook. Accenture is offering SM level. Does it make sense to give up 10 years worth of network in Deloitte to go to a comparable firm for some raise and start over with no network? Or, should I stick to my original goal of switching over to the industry for a better W/L Balance?
Partners/Directors - Are any of you on H-1B and still waiting on your GC to be approved? Are there any upgrades or benefits compared to folks at the SM and below levels? Might be a dumb question but curious to understand the immigration aspect.
Manager here in Big4 consulting. I enjoy the people I work for, and have an amazing MD and the best flexibility. I should be promoted to SM shortly. I don’t really care for my job but I don’t want to switch jobs b/c my situation is the best it will get (increasing salary and amazing work life balance). My plan is to stay at my company for the next 5 years, save money, get the employer match, and pension with no aspirations of making MD. Just me, or anyone else feel the same?
So I’m going from Industry to B4, I read a lot on here about an exit plan or opportunity? My background is Healthcare, 5 YOE (Industry) with receiving my MBA this year. How long should I stay at B4? I would love to make senior manager then explore. What do you think? any advice is welcomed.
Is Deloitte or Accenture hiring in Healthcare? I can’t seem to find any positions below Senior Manager. I would be at Senior Consultant-Manager level. Have mainly commercial provider experience but have done some life science as well. Thank you everyone!
Has anyone missed two busy seasons as a manager due to maternity leave and were still promoted to SM on time?
Senior Manager at PwC or Senior Program Architect at Salesforce. Which offer you will prefer and why? Location, Benefits and annual package is same.
Any suggestions on a good next job after being worked to the ground at Deloitte as a SM, for someone who enjoys managing projects? Any really good go-to companies with good benefits, work life balance, and good pay? Still at Deloitte, just trying to think about a light at the end here.
I am a 5y SM at B4 and exploring options between industry, tier2 or MBB. One thing I am not clear about is how the pensions work at MBB after u retire as a partner for 10-15 years with the firm. Is the pension structure similar to B4? Honestly, I have not found any other career that has a better pensions as compared to B4. Is MBB or tier 2 firms have comparable pensions? Thanks.
If a person is a top performer and can bring a lot of value (and I’m talking about senior manager level). What’s the consequence if that person is faking taxi receipt and submit for reimbursement?
@EY Looking for guidance on Business Consulting pay range for SM/AD in US. In addition how are the benefits there (401K, Pension, Vesting, PTO, Holidays, WLB, Travel, Mobile Plan, Gym Membership, Parental Leave, Home Office Allowance)? Please share if I am missing any of the big ones. Glad to DM too if you prefer.
How does the above at EY compare to Deloitte & Accenture?
Looking to exit Deloitte as a SM with 10 years of experience of providing advisory services for healthcare and life sciences companies globally. Please DM if there are any industry opportunities!
Looking to exit Deloitte as a SM with 10 years of experience of providing advisory services to healthcare companies across the globe. Please DM if there are any industry opportunities!
Looking to break into the broader healthcare industry from pharma consulting. Which non-pharma healthcare companies value pharma experience / don’t exclude it as part of healthcare experience? (Many companies want provider/payer experience). Targeting Senior Manager roles (5 YOE + MBA)
Offer evaluation, advise appreciated: Recently IPO company, senior manager role.
RSU: 200k (vested over 4 years)
YOE: 8.5 years experience (+MBA)
Location: Bay Area
No sign on bonus or 401k match, no/minimal annual increase or yearly bonus expected. Seems too low even for my current job. What’s a reasonable expectation? Don’t mind walking away if the expectation is not met.
Thoughts on this offer.. Currently an M4 in CBO - Healthcare. Up for SM, in good standing but not sure I want to be a career consultant. Want to make sure I’m not selling myself short as I’m expecting a bump at SM due to being low in the band.
Minimal Bonus this year 🤬
Fortune 500 Sr Director
20-40K in RSUs
All in around 290 if things go well
Any thoughts on working at Charles scwhab? Saw a bunch of roles in internal strategy and sales operations based in Phoenix and Dallas.
Their benefits seem solid, anyone have any insight into comp and culture for senior manager positions?
Range on glass door is from 85k-175k
Transferring from US to UK. What are the standard benefits you get as a big 4 senior manager/director? Like phone? Car? Fitness allowance?
Any firms recruiting senior manager level consultants in the healthcare provider sector? Currently with a relatively small firm (Chartis/ECG) and passively looking for better opportunities.
Any thoughts on Cognizant? Curious what compensation and benefits look like for Senior Manager/Associate Director roles.
Hi all! I am 11 weeks +4 pregnant and I am really excited about. I thought why not now since I’m working from home. Questions: 1) when did you tell your Senior Manager about it? 2) do you tell HR as well? For context, this is a high risk pregnancy due to a pre-existing condition I have. I joined Deloitte in March’20 and I know the firm offers paid maternity leave, but am I missing anything else here? Welcoming all tips and advice :) and thank you advance!
Thoughts on technology consulting SM who doesn't see partner track playing out going to a $1.5B PE firm to do tech strategy work as VP for both the PE internally and also for select companies under management.
Not much increase in base pay but 10-20% better bonus and similar benefits. Also an opportunity for carry but not sure how much.
Anyone have experience with exits for technology strategy folks to PE firms?
Senior Manager gives me a poor rating at the end of the project (affecting my metrics and benefits) and only months later the client specially requests me to be back on for the next phase.
Offer in aerospace and defense, senior manager in Corp development. 170 base, 15-20% bonus. 8 years of experience. Any red flags? The non-comp benefits/WLB are all excellent
What do you think about going lawschool? Got promoted to senior manager ( audit) but would like to change the career. ( early 30s) Any benefits of cpa+ jd?
7 years in big 4. Now a SM. Any point doing an MBA. What are the benefits? What could it help me to exit to?
What are good salary negation tips when you KNOW they are underpaying and there is some wiggle room, but they keep playing hard ball saying “benefits add up to a few thousands technically”
Would you rather:
Be very overworked, have great long term job security, great benefits, and have a great prospective career trajectory OR be so underworked you are bored, worse benefits, questionable long term job security, and worse career trajectory. Pay is the same.
Does anyone know what Accenture tuition reimbursement policy is for someone pursuing part time masters?
Anyone work or previously work at Cap Gemini? I am interviewing with them this week. Good experience or bad? How was the pay + bonus + benefits? Any tips for the interview process would be greatly appreciated 🙏 🙂
Guggenheim healthcare reputation?
How much do you pay for benefits? I am thinking about moving districts but I am not sure what the hidden fees are for their benefits. Wish it was more transparent, I feel like other districts get paid way more but I was wondering if they syphon your money away with health insurance, dental etc.
If I had to choose between contributing to my Roth IRA or 401k, assuming no employer match and that neither would be contributed to their max, what should the mix be?
What partner retirement packages do big 4 offer? Do partners typically get an annual compensation for life after retirement or do they just get a retirement pension (fixed sum) that they can withdraw from after retirement?
Can you get MBA tuition reimbursement if you’re a Digital Strategy Analyst? Or, do you need to be baptized as a pure Strategy Analyst?
Every time I interact with the American healthcare system as a consumer, I become more sympathetic with socializing the whole thing 😒
I have military benefits left and can get most MBA expenses covered at a Top 30-ish school. Should I pull the trigger? Has anyone regretted getting their MBA and pivoting into consulting after the age of 30.
31 YO, 8YoE Industry …I’m in the interview process at all Big4s currently but I’m getting hiring freezes and consistent ghosting. I can’t even apply to new roles at Big4 because I’m already in the process at all of them. Maybe if I had an MBA I’d be more competitive?
Anyone ever have a client be issued a check for a small 401k balance and the client never cashed it? Believe they had 60 days to get it into an IRA but they didn’t. What are their options? Continued.
Recent college grad having a lot of trouble understanding if I should max my traditional or Roth IRA this year. I make 100k salary and made 60k from short term capital gains last year, but maxed my 401k. Does this mean I made too much to use a Roth this year?
Just accepted an offer with JP Morgan. Starting soon, any benefits I should be aware of?
Has anyone taken one of those online executive courses, like the Harvard Extension School offers? Looking to use my $5k of tuition reimbursement and already have an MBA. Worth it? Best programs?
Talent retention | There has been alot of people leaving Agency life for other careers which offer more work life balance or benefits or even just going solo. Your thoughts? How long do you plan to stay in this field ?
Is there a law that says if you freelance for a company for more than a month, you can sign up for their healthcare?

Must be able to start in February. Please send me a DM if interested. Healthcare experience required on the copy side.
Anyone here well-versed in condo/HOA insurance (HOA master policy vs HO-6)? I’m trying to see if there’s a way I can find out the states that requires the association to be primary insurance. Thank you in advance 😊
I had my package discussion with HR and they asked me to submit the documents for approval. In the meantime I received a link from Capgemini to take the Mocha English Pro test.
Can anyone help me understand what this test is about and what kind of questions we can expect..I would appreciate your quick response as I have 2 days left to complete the test.
Thank you in advance.
Hi, I work under contract for a foreign company as an APM. I have an import export licence and send the monthly invoice to my HR. My benefits include the following in-hand allowances: food, internet, sports, vacation, training and hardware. Plus a yearly bonus.
Can someone help me out as this is new to me, how can I save my taxes? (I have to file ITR 4)
For moms who have delivered before, I am terrified of the delivery. That day haunts me. I’m a first time pregnant mom, and my own mother lost her first child in child birth, so I’ve inherited a lot of trauma about child birth. How bad is it, really? How scary? Any words of encouragement and honestly telling me what to expect (don’t sugar coat) I would appreciate. I am so scared.
