Working as an A for 3.5 years under same Healthcare account.
CTC 9.2 lpa. YOE 6.5
Big Data, recently certified as GCP Data Engineer
Project moving to cloud next year

Onsite is my dream & aspiration

I asked for promotion + Canada. SM replied promotion in Q2 or Q3 2022 first & then onsite later. Just verbal.

Financially ok now

Idea 1- trust them & keep waiting
Idea 2- demand promotion + revision for now by showing outside offer & onsite later on.
Idea 3- Switch with big hike

Total comp for Senior Manager, healthcare consulting (revenue cycle, provider ops) in NYC at big 4?

If anyone is looking for a referral to Deloitte, happy to chat! We have a robust pipeline of life science healthcare projects across the spectrum and are actively hiring across all levels (C - PPMD). Just to give context, the traditional consulting track is Analyst -> Consultant -> Senior Consultant -> Manager -> Senior Manager -> PPMD with other consulting tracks also available.

Stay at Accenture (2nd yr Manager, would be up for SM December 2022) or take startup offer (Director)? current base $135k, bonus $15k, 401k match: dollar for dollar up to 6% of base. Stage E startup valuation from recent round back in March of $2+b: base $175k, target bonus 15% ($26k), .008% equity, no 401k match, free health/dental/vision for me and family.

Is it a good exit opportunity for B4 audit senior manager to go work for the PCAOB? Benefits sound nice but not sure what the path of progression is over there.

Big 4 folks- what is the pension actually worth? Does it become a meaningful part of your retirement if you spend a career here and wind up at, say, SM?

Is it appropriate to ask about the comp/benefits the partner group makes at a regional consultancy I’m interviewing with (top 30)? At B4 I know I’d start around 300k in my practice, great pension, etc. Obviously it depends on growth of the firm (300mil rev last year, projecting 1B by 2026) but I’m just not sure how to go about it. I’m already a senior manager so just don’t want to join somewhere with not much room for growth even if I do join partnership.

Joining Deloitte at a SM level in Aug - and we are expecting a baby in Jan.. will I be eligible to avail the paternity leave , so close to joining?
Also, how many weeks is the paternity?

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Recently promoted Deloitte SM in GPS/C&M (TC - approx. $225K for those who care :)). In the market to switch to Healthcare industry at a Director level. Accenture and others are ringing my phone off the hook. Accenture is offering SM level. Does it make sense to give up 10 years worth of network in Deloitte to go to a comparable firm for some raise and start over with no network? Or, should I stick to my original goal of switching over to the industry for a better W/L Balance?

Partners/Directors - Are any of you on H-1B and still waiting on your GC to be approved? Are there any upgrades or benefits compared to folks at the SM and below levels? Might be a dumb question but curious to understand the immigration aspect.

Manager here in Big4 consulting. I enjoy the people I work for, and have an amazing MD and the best flexibility. I should be promoted to SM shortly. I don’t really care for my job but I don’t want to switch jobs b/c my situation is the best it will get (increasing salary and amazing work life balance). My plan is to stay at my company for the next 5 years, save money, get the employer match, and pension with no aspirations of making MD. Just me, or anyone else feel the same?

So I’m going from Industry to B4, I read a lot on here about an exit plan or opportunity? My background is Healthcare, 5 YOE (Industry) with receiving my MBA this year. How long should I stay at B4? I would love to make senior manager then explore. What do you think? any advice is welcomed.

I am a 5y SM at B4 and exploring options between industry, tier2 or MBB. One thing I am not clear about is how the pensions work at MBB after u retire as a partner for 10-15 years with the firm. Is the pension structure similar to B4? Honestly, I have not found any other career that has a better pensions as compared to B4. Is MBB or tier 2 firms have comparable pensions? Thanks.

If a person is a top performer and can bring a lot of value (and I’m talking about senior manager level). What’s the consequence if that person is faking taxi receipt and submit for reimbursement?

Looking to break into the broader healthcare industry from pharma consulting. Which non-pharma healthcare companies value pharma experience / don’t exclude it as part of healthcare experience? (Many companies want provider/payer experience). Targeting Senior Manager roles (5 YOE + MBA)

Thoughts on this offer.. Currently an M4 in CBO - Healthcare. Up for SM, in good standing but not sure I want to be a career consultant. Want to make sure I’m not selling myself short as I’m expecting a bump at SM due to being low in the band.
