I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Hi everyone, I have a quick question that’s kind of silly. I work at a pretty small company leading marketing. My title is technically Marketing Lead but I want to put Head of Marketing on my LinkedIn etc. I think of these titles as totally interchangeable—I just like the way the second one reads better. I know titles don’t really matter, but I’m battling a little bit of imposter syndrome.

What's your one regret from your time in the MBA program?

Okay so I was supposed to chat with a recruiter about sharing my reference contacts for a reference check. He's been MIA for three days citing that he's been under the weather.

Should I be worried? Is this a strategy commonly used to stall or is he actually just sick?

How many of you were direct admits to Partnership? From other consulting firms, or from industry? Was it a lateral move, or a step up/down?

The reason I ask is: I’m a Y3 Director at Big 4, always been a consultant and probably 2 years away from Partner. I have an offer from industry for VP at a F50 company, but am wondering about how difficult it’d be to boomerang back if it doesn’t work out.

Is it okay to share offer letter for renegotiation? I have already shared the CTC break up but the HR is asking for offer letter.
How can I politely decline or if I share offer letter will there be any issue?

What’s the hourly pay for others as a quality transaction specialist? I’m at $19.18 and feel it’s low for the inflation rate. HR and leadership refuse to give the salary range definitions and will say if I’m either in the low or median range of pay.

Just got selected to join the Navy as an officer but not leaving until early November. Anyone from HR have any recommendations on timing for when to tell my HR so they don’t let me go early? Would like to work until the week before I leave.
