I have received offer letter from IBM India Labs, But I have seen there are some reviews about the managers being toxic. During the interview as well I felt manager was very rude. He joined 20 mins late did not even bother to apologies and his tone was not good. So wondering if I should join IBM. There is not much difference in the salary.

Lesson learnt:

Why are people now treating e-mail as instant messaging? I work with several people that for some reason expect all emails to be answered within minutes of being received…. I can understand the sense of urgency around some high-priority, time-sensitive matters… but everything does not fall into that category… it drives me crazy.

What’s the level of evidence of review needed for controls that are not management review controls (MRC)? I’m an internal auditor and I’m documenting what is needed for lower risk controls in the SOX environment.

I’m trying to break my lease. I have notified the management company of my intent to do so in writing. They are just refusing to respond and keep ignoring my follow-up emails. Do I have any recourse? Can they physically bar me from leaving?

PS: I have legal cause for being able to break the lease and I know that there is zero legal recourse they have.
