Does anyone here live near East 83rd St and 3rd Ave? I'm interested in an apartment there but I noticed a huge construction site at the corner there. The agent said the construction there is now mostly just facade work on the top so it's not noisy any more, but I don't 100% buy that. If anyone lives in that area, can you please tell me if you can still hear any construction noise from inside your apartment when you close your windows at all? Thanks!

how common is the 40x rule (landlords want you to make at least 40x the rent)?? i’m looking to move to nyc and want a studio, so narrowing down my search to find a studio <2k feels impossible, esp in a convenient location. any insight would be helpful!
