First year Engagement Manager / Project Leader total comp at MBB? Ideally broken down by salary, bonus, and benefits
Working with someone that is about to go off COBRA. Not an expert with health insurance but like to be more involved. Do most of you provide advice in this area or do you point them in the direction?
If I retire when I'm 58 and withdraw my traditional 401k at 59.5, will I be taxed at a bracket of little to no income since I stopped working?
Any legit uncommon investments options that a professional Financial advisor would recommend? (PS - I am already into stocks, 401k, fundrise, crypto). Thanks in advance!
So, new GPS per diem Q, i get that if you go to team dinner and it’s paid for you just don’t check the dinner box for that day, but is the system really smart enough to catch you if you did?
26/m - I have about 8k in an old 401k from my previous company. Should I roll all my retirement earnings into one big bucket? Is it a big deal if I just leave it there? What would you do?
73 year old client stuck in a qualified annuity with a 2% cap rate and 1% income rider fee packaged with a 4.5% surrender charge. Plenty of income with SSI and pension Any thoughts?
Currently in Strategy for a big firm but considering the benefits if going boutique. Any thoughts?
Saw my dad’s taxes and I’m not sure how my parents are making ends meet. He stopped contributing to 401k and they are using retirement savings. I want to help but I have no idea how. Suggestions?
70K in savings account. Getting 0.05% in interest. Suggestions on how to get a better return? Mutual funds? I'm 24, already putting 10% of paycheck in 401k.
I make under 100k but can save quite a bit. Our firm has a post tax and pre tax 401k. I thought post was a Roth. Can anyone help me understand best 401k strategy? Wanting to better my future. TIA
Just looked at my 401k and already lost upwards of 25K. I know I should keep my money where it is-But really thinking hard about not contributing to my 401k and putting that money into savings account
Anyone else wake up some days and think, "how did I end up here?" I'm so thankful for our salaries and benefits, but being a consultant really takes its toll sometimes
Just came across this thought experiment in Dan Ariely’s The Upside of Irrationality on our need for meaningful work. How did this man get in my head? 😅 “Imagine you work for some company and your task is to create PowerPoint slides. Every time you finish, someone takes the slides you’ve made and deletes them. As you do this, you get paid well and enjoy great fringe benefits...How happy would you be to work at such a place?”
What are your most creative ways to maximize benefits of expenses without being unethical/fraudulent?
Can someone explain how Backdoor Roth works when you’re switching companies? Get that the 401k can transfer to IRA, but confused on how to do Roth instead without penalties.
I'm thinking of adding Long Term care insurance... Any ideas or tips? What should be the target age for this product?
Why is advisory staff 1 salary at $72k (in NYC) and audit is 60k?! Even a senior1 in audit doesn't make that much! And they don't need to worry about CPA! Some of them never work past 7pm all year!
Any good deals on student loan refi right now? I have SoFi now for a few years. Just took a paycut so looking to tighten the belt if I can.
Xmas party plans catching shade in MIA. All because someone at the Community is a snitchin ass rat that told HR. SMH. The Community. Snitches. I shoulda known.

Is it a red flag to MBA programs to leave my firm after 1-1.5 years without a promotion (promotion would be at 2 YOE)? Would it also be bad if I switched jobs more than once before applying (applying at 3 YOE, will enter school at 4 YOE)?
Nanny cam recommendations please. We have a 3 bedroom apartment so never really bought a baby monitor .
Hello, I am moving fr PwC to Deloitte. Deloitte are using Microsoft Outlook, Skype etc. In PwC we use Google-suite - and I am a huge fan! How bad is transition to Microsoft? Any experience?
Just had an interview with a small company where I'm pretty sure the interviewer (C-suite) just used me for a free consultation on what products to invest in. The position was no longer available before I started the interview, so I asked what was going on and he said "I like to see how you think" while repeating my words back to me. How do I handle this in the future? How have you handled it? It made me very uncomfortable and felt wrong.
First day back from vacation and it's been a complete shit show.. The only thing keeping me motivated is knowing I got promoted 😩
Can any 🐠 help with an appropriate salary range for Deloitte Consulting Tech Strategy for Consultant level with 5 years of experience? I want to make sure I ask competitively within the range.
Why are you still in Pharma when Tech is much more exciting/better paying/more opportunities to be in as a sector? And please don’t give me helping the patient bs.. I am considering moving to tech in an BI/PM role even if it’s a bit of a lesser role. Thoughts?
Bill Gates is wrong business travel will relatively get back to pre covid levels with some industry requiring more then others. The sales person who show up to the client site will have a competitive advantage developing relationship then those depending strictly on Zoom.
Just got 2.75% refi rate on a 30 year jumbo loan, no points. Pretty pumped. A COVID silver lining.
New facts: HR will take into consideration your posts into FB when making their hiring decisions as they believe your comments/posts do have a correlation with your personalities to some extent.
entering a final round for A position at a different b4... so far nobody asked my current salary, only my expected salary. Is this normal? I always assumed they gauged the offer partly off of current?
Current A2 in Risk Assurance and just filled out an application for an IT Audit role at KPMG in NYC. Looking to leave PwC because of personal and “work culture” related reasons as well as the low pay. Does anyone have any advice for recruiting or input on chances that I’ll get an offer?
