I recently received a promotion for a VP role, but only received the standard annual 3% base pay increase. Is it standard to receive a large promotion with no upfront financial benefits?
What's the difference between expectations / responsibilities / benefits / perks between a Strat Director and a VP?
I was approached by a recruiter for a VP of Media Analytics position at a boutique health care agency. Remote. $150-$160K. Healthcare experience required. Both digital and traditional media experience required. DM me if you’re interested and I can make an intro.
Hiring a rockstar Dir / Sr. Dir / VP of marketing for a PE backed healthcare edtech company. Looking for someone with strong product marketing, data analytics, and B2C and B2B experience, Anyone have any strong leads? Please feel free to DM me. Thanks!
As a technical consultant (data scientist), how important is it for you to develop relationships with clients in the specific industry you're interested in, like healthcare, as you move up? Or, is it enough to just build a track record of tech chops & impact at the VP/C-level of other industries, even if you don't have any personal rapport with clients to leverage?
Looking to get back into healthcare industry and leave consulting for good. Was in healthcare industry in finance for 6yrs prior to joining the big four focusing on the tech sector. I am in the Final rounds for a VP finance job for a MSO type company. Want to read up and get smarter around tends in MSO and ambulatory care. Thoughts on technology consulting SM who doesn't see partner track playing out going to a $1.5B PE firm to do tech strategy work as VP for both the PE internally and also for select companies under management. Not much increase in base pay but 10-20% better bonus and similar benefits. Also an opportunity for carry but not sure how much. Anyone have experience with exits for technology strategy folks to PE firms?

Anyone know what Equifax’s 401k and benefits look like? Curious to see if it’s competitive. Also know if they’re salary is competitive. Looking at a VP fraud operations and monitoring position.
Temp check, please. What should I be looking for as earnings package (base + bonus + equity/benefits) for a VP level role (it’s a hybrid Marketing/strategy Head of marketing-type role)? I have a history of chronically under negotiating and don’t want to do that this time. (For context: Series A funded global start up, executive level role). Thanks in advance!
In running for VP position at a large German firm with international presence. Comp guides seem awfully low for scope of the role: base of 200k Euros base and 50% individual bonus and possibility of adding another 50% annual retention bonus kicking in in year 3. They will throw in car benefits and education fees for 2 kids on top. How does this compare to typical VP positions in Europe? Does this sound about right? What do associate partners and partners at MBB make in Germany?
VP at a first-time healthcare vc fund. Closed fund 1 at $60min without a placement agent. Already invested fund 1 and now Partners want to raise fund 2 with an agent. Should I stay or leave?
Just got offered 60% to lateral transfer into a BB banks Innovation Strategy group. Would be insane not to accept right? Better wlb, benefits... Probably won't be VP for 2 years though.
Creative Director to VP Creative Director. Making 210k now, big holding agency. What should I expect/ask for in terms of money and benefits?
Anyone here from Moody's? How is the company, growth opportunities, benefits and comp? Interviewing for a VP position in their Moody's Investor services group.
what is the best way to get plugged in with Executive recruiters for Industry VP-level+ positions? I’m in Healthcare.
Looking for a VP, Consumer Insights for a growing healthcare-focused agency in the suburbs of Chicago. Anyone interested can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Realizing to be comfortable (max 401k/IRA, 12mo expenses in savings acc, and save 2k a month) I’ll need to make 200k+ in NY :(how does anyone afford to live here
Need some financial advice. Have $45k left in student loans (first half gsap payment coming in august). I have $120k in non 401k investments. do I liquidate some mutual funds to pay loan assuming...
There should be a reimbursement category called things I've left at hotels/on airplanes. Started thinking of the things I've forgotten and it adds up over time
Wondered why my paycheck was quite a bit more than normal and found out I maxed my 401k contribution for 2020. Hello nice paychecks for the next two weeks!
Newly married 🐟 what's your thoughts on merging healthcare with SO? Any easy way to analyze this? Does anyone do medical at one company, dental and vision at another?
Fellow 🐠: I’m 26 and contribute 7% + company matches up to 6% to my 401k, I currently have around $53,000 in my 401k. I was talking to uncle and he said I’m very behind and should start putting more in. Is he right, am i behind?
I'm a Healthcare Consultant for a large consulting firm headquarted in the D.C. area. I feel like I've been struggling to get the mentorship and guidance I need as a young, black female. I work very hard and I've been told by higher ups that they see my "potential". I just had a great performance review, but received a low raise and no promotion compared to others with similar background and skillset. I just feel lost and don't know how to move forward.
Someone convince me why working as a GS-15 in the federal govt working 9-5 with low stress, making $160K with 6% 401K match, defined benefit pension, and healthcare in retirement isn't the way to go
Why do I owe taxes this year when last year I got a refund of 2K? Last year - claimed as dependent/zero 401k contr. This year - 10k more income/independent/full 401k contr.
If I leave acn and come back after a few years, will I have to wait a year again for them to match my 401k?
Ex-MBBer looking for consultants who have gone independent and looking for a cool gig with expertise in Healthcare strategy, with sub-topic expertise with payors, providers, healthcare finance, digital health. Know anyone?
Why does the 401k match in consulting suck so much as compared to corporate? What are some ways to make up for it other than just asking for higher base pay?
Just like we all have airline and hotel loyalties, what is your ride share loyalty? Uber vs Lyft! I am not so concerned with quality, more so rewards program or benefits.
What's your age and how much do you have in your 401k!? 25 and 40k. Started contributing max this year.
Office H&S team still going overboard with those home office ergonomics emails. They just don’t get it that this is a change only for them since they’ve always been in the cozy cute decorated cubicles all this while. The rest of the workforce freaking grew up making slides and crunching numbers in coach class middle seats. Anything at home is a luxury.
Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks. I was told by the director to not mention it to anyone but I figured if anyone knew I got one it’d be my boss. I feel super uncomfortable now because do I essentially lie to my boss because I’m not supposed to talk about it.
I have a campus recruiting event next Saturday for 5 hours. This is on top of my project work. Can I charge OT for it? I'm an analyst.
If you temporarily moved to another state during the pandemic while remote working, did you just tell your partners? How did you go about it?
Serious - Anyone here a Project Management Professional (PMP)? Any experience studying/taking the exam? Monetary benefits to the job? I hear it can warrant a solid 15-20% premium in pay.
Office chair recommendations? Looking for something comfortable. My back has been hurting because of the cheap one I bought so looking into buying a good one now lol...
Offered to help other team on big project. Partnered w person on that team. Our idea sold? Partner told CDs he came up with idea solo. He produced it solo. No one told me. Just saw it live on TV.
Thinking of moving from B4 to Accenture or Slalom. I mostly do Epic stuff. Pros seem to be no audit/independence crap, less travel, more tech work. Any cons?
I was planning on updating my portfolio during the break but I’m feeling very “meh” about the work that I created in 2020. I did a launch this year and most of the pieces don’t seem portfolio worthy. What kind of work should I be putting in so that a CD would consider hiring me?
I'm in my 5th year of H1B and expecting my I140 by July/Aug. Is it a good idea to switch firms around dec? I'm guessing no because my H1b expires mid 2019 and the new company will have to redo my perm
How long after final round big 4 interview for experienced hires do you usually hear back about an offer or rejection?
Any Chicago 🐠 happen to be looking for a new roommate in June? My lease is up this May and I’m looking to find a private bed/bath downtown for under $1200/mo. I’m 23F, don’t care abt gender of roomie!
I have a dilemma. I received two different job offers. One from a VERY good consulting firm, the other from a corporate company (pharmaceutical industry). Both in sustainability field, same salary. One 200km from home with possibility to work remotely most of the time (consulting), the other literally 850 meters from my house right now. The corporate company offers 6 months at first with the possibility to get a permanent contract afterwards. The consulting firm proposes a permanent contract. What should I do?
Does your firm have traditional PTO or “unlimited paid time-off”? If the latter, do you and your colleagues take vacation? My friend who specializes inHR/organizational management said even though the intentions may be good in offering “unlimited” PTO, in practice most firms and companies always see a significant decline in people taking vacation because they no longer feel entitled to their PTO. Is there a way to take advantage of the policy within reason (5-10 days/year) or is it a total scam?
Thinking of heading to Phoenix for a long weekend with my wife. We like to hike but also want hang by the pool and check out the area. What part of town would you recommend we stay? Any good Marriott properties that come to mind?
How interesting it is that the language ‘English’ restricted us to think what we can possibly think/experience/learn. I feel like because this language is so limited in words to understand our culture, it restricted several generations to learn beyond what we know today about our country and culture. I feel cheated 😭😞
Does anyone know if OCI for infants is lifetime? It says visa “lifetime" on the card, but website says it needs to be renewed every 5 years or so (similar to the validity of the US passport).
