I noticed in many posts that Ford offers 70–120% variable pay. Why is it mentioned as more than 100%? If my CTC includes ₹2 lakh as variable pay and I receive 120% at year-end, will I get more than ₹2 lakh?
Please clarify!

Let's say ur CTC is 55 lpa. Out of which, say around 5 lakhs has been allocated into annual variable pay..

When people say 70-120%, it means in every March, Ford would generally pay anywhere between 70% of the 5 lakhs (350000) and 120% of the 5 lakhs (600000). That's the meaning.. And, that %Tage factor gets decided depending on company's and your performance..

So, take 2023, company's perf factor was 122%, and in my appraisal, I received a perf factor of 105%, that means my final variable payout would be 105% of the (122% of the 5 lakhs) = 640500/-. So, in March, I received 640500 + monthly salary combined..

Hope this helps.

Of course brother, every rupee that hits ur bank account gets some tax levied. :)

In hand would be around 9 lakhs.

I’m hoping to steer clear of any scams by posting & I know it’s been posted before but, again, scams. Anyway, I am looking for something that can be done remotely on nights and weekends after I get home from my daily in-office job. My sister passed away & I’m now helping raise her kids. With Christmas coming, I’m nervous and dreading the season not only to not have her but will I make it a happy one for the kids. I need extra income but need to be home with them in the evenings.

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?
