How do you know of your current daycare is the best option for your kid/s? In this DFW market, we’re paying in the higher range, they have live cameras, they have a curriculum, etc. This is our first kid (10 months) and after visiting 3 other schools I don’t know what else we could want. I hear everyone wants the in-home care, but there are no cameras there. I hear everyone wants the Montessori or Goddard, but honestly haven’t seen proof of anything special when we toured. Any insight?

I recently started a job in Addison and I’m looking for an apartment in DFW. Currently living in south Dallas near cedar hill so I have an hour drive for work. I found a place in Fort Worth that I love plus its in budget. But the drive world turn into an hour and fifteen. I can’t seem to find a good deal anywhere near work should I just live far and make the daily drive?

I’m on contract to buy a new built home next year for about ~$500k but it’s far north of DFW. Recently I’m getting worried that it would be better for me to buy an older home but closer to the DFW for the same price. Disregarding rates for now. Commute to work is something I’m iffy about too.
Question is: New built home/longer commute vs older home/shorter commute and proximity to some locations.

I’m currently a Talent Acquisition Coordinator in the DFW area and I’ve been with my company for close to two years.

I recently ran some comp bands and it showed that I’m being underpaid about $8K.

How should I initiate a conversation to discuss increasing my pay although my review isn’t until early next year. Should I start with my direct report or HR?

My wife and I liked a house, new build priced at 750k in dfw area top school district, top community thinking of 200k down payment. House will be ready in may 2023. House hold income 300k base plus 40k bonuses. My question is am I risking too much here, given the market conditions ? What is the 2023-2024 mortgage rate forecasts ? Will the housing market tank more than 20% in DFW ?

If I have a connecting flight from domestic to international, how soon do I need to arrive for the first flight? Are their customs process I have to go through when boarding? Never traveled international before…

First domestic flight:

Second international flight:
