Anybody else think next year is going to be worse for layoffs than this year? A lot of clients are setting up their 2021 budgets and allocating very little for capital projects. Seems like next year will be extremely light since customers aren’t spending as much. Hence more layoffs in consulting.
Is anyone worried about layoffs?
Which firms have had layoffs within the last 6 months? Was it contained to a particular practice, "sub-group" or other characteristic? It seems like a lot of firms have been making cuts....
I’ve been laid off and, as I embark on my job search, I’d like to keep my marketing skills sharp. Any recommendations on must read books, or resources?
Has anyone here everyone stood up for themselves or someone else on a internal call with their director/partner? Like if they were bullying someone? Curious to see what happened after or if that is something that can get you fired. Our director is a bully to others and if they ever come at me I’m going to stand up for myself but wondering if breaking the professional boundary is worth it.
Meeting with just HR tomorrow, likely to get fired. I thought there would be a partner involved but guess not? Performance issues.
I don’t think I’m qualified for a lot of jobs. I don’t know basic functions. How does one “fake it til you make it” in industry and not get fired?
Just learnt that one VP in my client (ibank) suddenly disappeared (laid off). Which is very scary as her work is good, what is the most scary laid off story you have heard?
Should I be alarmed that I haven’t had a conversation with my director in a week +? (Any tips for coming to terms with being laid off for the first time?)
For those of you thankfully still employed but working insane hours with a reduced team due to layoffs and unable to use your PTO — has anyone tired to get theirs rolled over?
What do recruiters think of people who’ve been previously laid off at an agency due to loss of clients? Since it’s a common thing in this industry, does it cast a bad light on the applicant?
PWC AC Bangalore doing mass layoffs? Is it true?
LA, what's good? I know basically every agency out here had layoffs last year, so is anyone looking to hire a mid-level AD?
Randomly came across a bowl from a year ago.
I was wondering will consultant fee’s also be slashed due to the upcoming depression/recession? We’re they slashed in 2008?
What are the weirdest reasons you have heard for people being laid-off? Heard someone getting laid off because of submitting wack expenses.
Laid off. Wha wha. Anyone hiring out there?
I got laid off today and I’m scared

Does anyone work in a work culture where your boss views herself as a mother, her employees as children and then refers to your colleagues as “sisters” and “brothers” and hints that everyone can call her “Mama Bear”. Please share thoughts on this.

May I ask what your knowledge of Citadel FIG in Chicago is in terms of career progression and culture? Thank you!
Here’s an entirely unrelated to work question, but one that’s entirely “rooted” in vanity. Has anyone had any experience with Bosley or other hair restoration procedures? If so, what was your experience?
Pay for teachers in Arizona is so awful 😭. I always wanted to teach in my local community but frankly I can't afford it. I want to move to another state where comp is better but I'm not positive where. What do you make & where are you located? For context I'm a 3rd year 2nd grade teacher.
Fishes from Natwest group National westminster bank plc , i heard that going once or twice a week in office is mandatory in almost all projects, want to know how are they monitoring? Is it through access card or is it something else?
Anyone have info on the HR team at Permira Private Equity? Culture, WLB, compensation, etc?
generally speaking, do government agencies actually demand more from you if you’re in a higher vs. a lower salary tier/division e.g., I vs. II, II vs. III, III vs. IV, etc.? Perhaps there’s a difference between maybe I and III but is there a significant difference in responsibilities and performance expectations between II and III, or III and IV for example?
I'm hiring a creative strategist at the best ecom agency to work at in 2022.
For real, we get paid to stay healthy, pushed to take PTO, get free therapy and support in fulfilling our dream goals.
I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life working here.
Still hard work, but the culture and comp is the best out there for a small (~150ppl) agency.
DM me or apply through the link below if you're interested!
*We're fully remote btw!
I graduated at the height of the pandemic, Spring 2020, with my BA of Computer Science and there wasn’t really any in-person positions or internships available. I felt I really needed an opportunity like that to solidify my skills. Now, 2 years later, I am still serving tables and I am wanting to launch back into my tech career. Should I only focus on getting my coding skills back or are there less technical jobs that I could maybe be qualified for based on soft skills and degree alone?
Look for ACN referrals. I am in Italy
