I recently went through the hiring process. Initially, I was offered a 30% hike from ₹2.8 LPA to ~₹3.7 LPA and agreed verbally due to nervousness. Later after half an hour, I decided to talk to HR again and ask them whether the mentioned the package could be revised to ~₹4.5 LPA and they agreed, which encouraged me to continue. However, after completing the process, I received an offer letter of ₹3.7 LPA. I had declined another offer of ₹4.2 LPA based on this, and now I’m unsure how to proceed.
