Layoffs

Currently at a startup where most of the non founder leaders have left in the last few months, 2 layoffs, many key employees have left BUT sales remain strong and company has 1 year of runway. Just got an offer from EY for effectively the same job, title bump, 50% increase in TC. However, I ultimately want to break into data science and EY role is not DS. What should I do? Should I decline off and keep recruiting for a true DS role or accept and then keep recruiting?

I’m an A3 in tax consulting. I hear the work environment is nice and they’re offering me an SA position but have concern because they’ve had layoffs in the past. Has KPMG made a statement about layoffs yet?

Looking to get some insights here.
Is a solution architect role at salesforce better compared to consulting manager at pwc us? Salary maybe comparable, benefits are better at sf but concerned about growth and layoffs at sf.

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Someone having ratings above 4 in all the 4 snapshots, utilisation around 90%. Currently working in a project, how much can I be sure of my job security?

Heard from some people here that PwC is doing mass layoffs.

Does it make sense to do a lateral move to another Big 4 in this environment (granted barely anyone is even hiring)? I have been with EY for a bit now and getting bored to the point im losing motivation to work. but the bills needs to be paid.
Want to pivot to tech but with the mass layoffs and how many smarter ppl are in the market now, not sure il snag an offer.
So I guess I want to know if you went from one big 4 to another at M+ level and if its worth even exploring that option.

Got offers from Nagarro 22.5lpa fixed, EY GDS 20.5 fixed + 10% variable and Cognizant 20.5 fixed. Having 6.5yrs of experience working in the business marketing domain and not into technical.

Cognizant and Nagarro are giving me hometown location where as Gurgaon for EY. Considering the recent layoffs, please share your views which one to join?
