Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)
Your offer is reasonable and is line with the industry. You can always push higher but given what is happening in the market and recession, is it worth pushing higher for the offer to be pulled?
Culture in the NPB office is still a bit formal but improving - they are focused on driving change.
You have big personalities and senior management in the same building and likely on your floor. Not many opportunities in CA to jump to if you want to leave.
The offer is pretty decent and within the minimum. Also, you only have 4mos of experience. You can still negotiate for a higher base after 6mos or a year.
Unless you have something valid like a competing offer, willing to lose the by saying that you want to compare offers from another place, or say I can accept the offer at a specified higher level
