I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Working on buying a home. Got great rates with a lender. While signing, noticed that I was marked as a Permanent Resident Alien. I'm on H1B.

If I tell my lender that I'm a non-Permanent Resident Alien, would there be any issues vis a vis rates? or actual approval?

I have 3 more years left on my visa and I have very good credit history over the past 6 years

Have you seen women wear ties and "masculine"-looking suits to work? Was it accepted by client and team? I've never worn a tie to work, but when I've worn clothing that had a more "masculine" fit either in grad school or some work environments, I've gotten comments and looks, or sometimes asked (or people gossiped) about my orientation. When I wear more "feminine"-looking clothing, I feel more more uncomfortable and awkward. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Potentially at an all time low - personally, professionally and emotionally. I have to believe that life’s inflection points happen for a reason. There’s a bigger lesson for me around this corner...

Hi friends,

I'm a new joinee in MSFT.

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

I got an offer from a company. They told me on the phone the salary was 88k but when they sent me the offer letter it said $87.5k What do I do?
