[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

I think this is why the people who become extremely successful at entrepreneurship are often extroverts who really actually enjoy the people part of the work. I don't think you HAVE to be an extrovert to succeed, but I think it gives you a huge advantage. I say try to find a common interest with people so you're not just talking about the weather. If you like golf, get people out on the course to talk ideas
There really isn't much of an alternative, sorry to say. There are variations of networking, but they all mostly come down to awkward social interactions at some point. What I'll do is just tell myself it's a performance, and kind of get myself out of my introvert mind and do what's required. I liken it to actors who have stage fright, but are able to get it together to perform when they need to.
I am an introverted extrovert and struggled making small talk in networking but have come to love the networking process. I have reframed my state of mind around wanting to learn about the individual i am talking to. In a psychological level, people LOVE to talk about themselves. And I’ve taken networking opportunities to build a genuine connection with someone new, by learning about who they are. And it has been incredibly successful!
