Currently a college student t working in retail. I want to look into remote jobs but the ones I apply to always lead to dead ends or end up being a fraud. Are there any good websites to know if the remote job is legit and safe?

Hate my job - I work for a great firm, I earn well and I know a lot of people would kill to be in my position but I hate the travel/poor WLB and I want to get a fully remote job that's lower stress. So many more job applicants on linked in for fully remote than hybrid/onsite. Why are employers not getting this? I saw one role on site posted a month ago with 0 applications, while remote jobs on average have 100+. Are they just not getting it?

I’m starting my full remote job in 2 weeks but for my first day, they’re asking me to come to the office for orientation and to set me up with the system. Is that normal? I thought fully remote is that I’ll be doing the orientation and all the set up online. Any experience on this?
