4 YOE out of UG, recently promoted to SC making 90k before bonus, like the job, company, and team. Worth thinking about jumping for a salary increase? Am doing federal work for reference. Only complaint is that i think i could make more elsewhere for the same amount of work, but also can see sticking it out to manager.
I have a two hour internet interview with a similar firm, inferior role. Talking about a 20% salary bump, but I'd have to start over proving I'm a high performer. I'm thinking cancel. Thoughts?

Best way to leverage cost of living adjustment during salary negotiation? Moving from small market to NYC or Chicago.
I put you in the CEO chair, give you financial targets to hit to earn your bonus, I give it three months before you’re out there buying back your own ass just to hit those numbers. Don’t even front.

Father was laid off a few months back and recently got a new job, he’s wondering if we can still file for unemployment for the months where he wasn’t working?
Hello all! Could use some unbiased advice from strangers. I’m currently considering moving abroad to UK for MBA and then hopefully working there for a few years and returning to US. I have dual citizenship so not worried about visa. But could anyone try to talk me out of it? Or tell me it’s a terrible idea? I’m aware of the Pay gap and realize it’s a slower career trajectory than staying in US but is there anything else I might not be thinking of?
Any suggestions on what to do differently considering the current economic climate? I’m at a Big 4 firm (not Deloitte) and concerned about layoffs. I haven’t taken any vacation this year and don’t want to take the voluntary hour reduction either. I plan to just keep my head down and deliver/sell as best I can. Should I be more proactive? Get involved with a specific big account I’ve been avoiding for a while now?
How should I evaluate my salary? I’m a 1st year associate at a mid-sized firm (50 attorneys) with a monthly billable hours target of 170. It’s interesting to me that my billable amount in 3 months is equal to my salary, and I’m wondering at what point that should change. I understand there is overhead that I have to consider when analyzing this, but I feel sure there is a typical ratio of billing amount to salary and I’m just wondering what that looks like. Any thoughts here?
