Hi fish what your thoughts on ascend program which is happening in globallogic for 2.9 year experience, for me they are offering package of 7.3 lpa this is going to be the my first switch as per my current package they have given almost 70% hike also I also asked for same. My company, privately owned US mid-size (~1bill revenue) company. We 100% do not use any automated tools to screen applicants.
I’ve been tweaking my resume like crazy just to make it past the bots. Lately I've been working hardder on tailoring keywords from the job description and keeping formatting super simple and it seems to be working at least a little bit. I’ve gotten a few bites recently, so it can work, but man, it’s rough out here.
I'm skeptical that AI is being used to the extent that people think it is in the hiring process. There have been automated sorting systems operating for a while, just to handle the amount of applications submitted electronically. But that's not really AI. The best approach is to just write a good cover letter and have a credible and solid resume. And, if you can, get a referral. The personal touch is always the way to gain an advantage, it's been that way since ancient Rome.
I have been wondering this for some time now too. I have several friends who are wayyyy over qualified for some of these roles and have been applying and looking for over a year with no luck. It does make you wonder if it has anything to do with AI.
