What would a 30 minute interview for a F500 Corp dev role entail? Any modeling or would the assumption be mainly behavioral questions ?

the only thing i lack is python scripting which might be used in GCP automation and very little knowledge

I'm so frustrated. I've been working for 10 years and I can't get an interview for Senior AD roles, but I get tons of enthusiastic calls for Intermediate ones. Im doing the work of a senior now - concepting alone, working direct with clients, guiding the odd junior - and I do a lot of stuff for the community at large that shows leadership (like conference stuff).

I've had CDs review my book and they say my work is great. Why can't I land a senior job? I want to manage, I have good ideas. WTF?

As an aspiring strategist I keep getting asked about my passions during interviews but photography never seems to be enough, they want more. What are your passions? How have they helped you land roles?

Hi y’all. So I haven’t technically onboarded for my firm yet, I’m suppose to start in 3 weeks. One of the projects I’m going to be put on requested to have a little interview with people of the team so I had mine today. The “interviewer” didn’t really seem to think I was qualified for this project at the end of the conversation (agree to disagree with him on that). Regardless, am I in trouble for not fitting his criteria/selling myself enough…kinda worried on my manager’s response….

Should I interview for a company if I’m most likely going to turn down an offer if I get one? I had a call with HR as well as a call with the actual manager I’d be working with. Interview skills for Product Design interviews is very different from skills and mindset required to work in Product Design.

My personal experience in interviewing made me understand that I lacked a lot of things to excel in Interviews although I consider myself good in my work.

If I had to do it again, I will keep interviewing and keep improving portfolio and case studies. Although I will choose companies where I do not want to go first to practice.

Hello! I just passed the patent bar a couple of months ago so I'm applying to my first patent agent roles. However, I only have a masters in law, not a JD, so I have no summer associate experience, and every position wants experience first. How do you stop from going blind in this profession? First year here. I went into law school with “perfect” vision and had to get glasses by the end of it. Since I started working last year, I can barely see without glasses and need to get a new prescription. At this rate I’ll be blind by the time I’m a third year. Is this inevitable?

Been here for almost 3 years now. I am pretty good at this job - clients and teams like me a lot and if I decided to stay could definitely make it work in the long run, but it’s not a job that makes me fulfilled and happy; and increasingly so. Want better hours, less focus on optics, deeper problem solving, slower pace and more ownership over deliverables ( not just slides) - anyone feel similarly and left?
