Let's say you knew someone who used to be an alumni chapter president for HSW and you were going to ask them to write a letter of support for you. Would it be best to do so before interviews are sent out, or after you've done your interview? I feel that I'm a strong interviewer and fear most being dinged with no interview. I come from a non-traditional background and feel that may increase the chances of not getting an interview. Should I go ahead and ask before interview invites have been sent

Anyone have good threads RE: resume advice saved? Just finished first year in consulting after UG and want to start applying elsewhere. Few questions: Graduated w/ 3.4 GPA (business major)... should I list it or not? Not stellar but they may assume worse if I don’t I was president of an academic club at my school. Given that I only have 1 yr of professional experience, should I keep this on my resume? Separate experience at my company by project, or lump bullets together? Other advice?
WaPo article (from headline to charts descriptions) is pure gold: "These were the emperor's clothes, and he was proud of them. But Swan, given one of the few opportunities for a non-sycophant to interview the president, revealed them for what they were." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/08/04/trump-actually-doesnt-appear-understand-how-bad-pandemic-is/
Fox’s Chris Wallace: "In our interview last week with President Trump, he questioned whether his opponent Joe Biden could handle a similar encounter. Well, we asked the Biden campaign for an interview and they said the former VP was not available. We'll keep asking every week.”

However,I just recieved an offer from a co-def I work with on a case to go Legal Counsel/Staff Counsel for Amtrust Financial making $105K base, no billable and office is 5 minutes from my apartment overlooking NYC. Concern: managing own files which I don’t do now. Thoughts?

Is it weird to email a recruiter that you've only spoke on the phone with? Some background: got a call 2 weeks ago that hiring is resuming and I'll be contacted by another person to set up interviews again. But I haven't heard anything from anyone at the company since. I left a voicemail last Thursday but haven't gotten a call back. I've gotten emails from others in the org so I effectively have their email by knowing first/last name.
