Is it just me, or are you also dealing with an endless loop of "we're going with an internal candidate" rejections for jobs that seemed like a perfect fit? It's so frustrating. I put a lot of effort into an application, only to find out the role was probably not even open. Are these "placeholder" postings as common for you as they are for me?

I joined pwc last month, and absolutely hating it here. Each weekend has been working, 12-15 hours work day is minimum expectation. And there's extreme hierarchy, where even after you spend 24 hours working on something, the director decides he wants something completely different and you delete and restart. (Note that you request them to review and give their pov earlier on, but they never take the time out)

Do you actually take the time to reject people after initial interviews? Or do you wait for the candidate to reach back out to you? I’ve noticed a lot of agencies don’t seem to follow up

Vets using Tricare with a family. I’m out and can use Tricare with the VA, but my wife and I each use our company offerings for our family; which obviously come at cost. Is it worth it to switch to Tricare? Has anyone done this and can share details? Positives/negatives?

When did you know your firm wasn't right for you? I'm not sure if it's just the stress of being a new attorney with a family or if my job isn't the right fit. I work in civil litigation and am consistently below my billables. I can't stay late because my kids need me and I can't work on the weekends because I have to maintain my house and take care of my kids. I'm being constantly told to work harder, stay later, etc but it's not practical. Or am I not approaching this with the right mindset?
