Seeing all these Deloitte "tellyourstory" posts on LinkedIn and no one is telling their story about the forced pay cuts or unnecessary layoffs.
Why do consulting firms constantly hire and then constantly layoff? Like my firm is laying off people as they reach out to interview new people at the same level 🤣
Just found out a few senior managers are being laid off. We just hired a couple new seniors and staffs, how worried should I be as a staff?
Did Deloitte layoff too many people? There is ZERO bench on the west coast, and they have started aggressive experienced hire hiring lately. It's annoying because I just wanted to hang out in December
If you have a few co-workers as friends on FB, and post your political preference for the election, can you get fired / let go? I didn't discuss with anyone, just posted a couple obvious links.
Have you ever been out of the office on layoff day when you were one of the people getting laid off? Did they call you and tell you, or wait til you were back?
Is now really a good time to be switching jobs? Especially going into a big market like NYC? Fears of a recession making me reconsider whether I should grow where I am or move down to NYC but run the risk of being the first laid off in the case that the economy goes bust
Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?
It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.
Thanks in advance!
Hey everybody. Got laid off at D. BTA within strategy and analytics. Mostly LS/HC experience. Anybody can help out with a referral anywhere? Thank you!
If I apply for a role externally, what info about me (rating, salary, fired or not...) the new company can request from HR of my old company? What is HR supposed to disclose and what not?
Laid off after Thanksgiving. 54. Not done yet. Plenty to offer. In Detroit but ready and able to move anywhere. AD/CD. Hangin in there. How bout you?
I want to know about job security in Optum. Who all have been in Optum for a while please share your response. I am too worried after reading major layoffs by Giant companies. Were you salaried and then laid off or experienced a pay decrease? I’m feeling alone because all my Ad friends are still working full time and my salary has been reduced.
I’m a Junior accountant, recent MBA grad in Finance, located in NYC, just got laid off due to a merger. Anybody hiring or know any opening positions?
I was going to hand in my letter of resignation today. But before I can do that, I got laid off. Woo-Hoo! Hello, severance!
Given the Facebook (Meta) layoffs, how likely is it to have an offer rescinded? Starting in mid June which now seems far away but have an offer from another FAANG (higher TC too). Was going to decline but now I’m worried.
Curious if anyone has ever relinquished their NY bar license. I’ve been practicing for 5 yrs in another state and won’t be in NY in the foreseeable future. NY does not recognize an inactive status.
Anyone planning to start moving to Bengaluru?
🚨 DOG QUESTION 🚨 folks who live alone, how difficult is it to balance your job with commuting and being away in the office and all that with being a responsible dog owner? Signed, a wannabe dog owner
Help! My preteen seem to have gotten lazy with school work and her grades are falling. I have tried talking, yelling, taking things away and I am wiped out at this point. I am in nursing school as well so the one on one she is used to has been taken away.
Any ideas how I can get her to take on school work more independently. I have spoken with the teachers when I saw the grades and she has improved some with doing homework but I need her to study and review materials after class too:(

I have a crazy concoction of a C.V. that is impressive to very sr. folks but spooky to recruiters.
Brand strategy-mgmt consulting love child of a background w/ a few startup stints of note. I want to inform growth and thinking somewhere.

Anyone have advice for someone who keeps blowing it on the superday?
In general I tend to know my stuff, when it comes to questions and brain teasers, but for some reason I get really nervous and unsure of myself during superdays. I just lose all my confidence and anxiety just takes over. I've lost quite a few roles this way, including my dream one at McKinsey. It's always been this way since undergrad, but it seems to get worse and worse with every rejection.
anyone belong to the SF Cal Tennis club? Would love to hear about your experience and if you’d be down to bring a guest
I just passed my 10 year anni with my agency. I’ve grown a ton professionally. I’ve gotten to hand select everyone on my team. I had three babies over the course of my tenure. WLB is good. Pay is good, not great, but competitive. Overall, I’m happy, the work is challenging, and I have flexibility with my kids. BUT, 10 years is a long time. If I stay longer, I worry it’ll be hard to hired elsewhere. I also wonder if I could be learning/growing even more with new environment/leadership. Thoughts?
My senior is terrible! He is really good at his job but is never available to help me with questions. He wants me to type everything into teams which is SO time consuming and hard to convey my questions. I always hear “ask questions” but when i do it’s pointless. I am planning to leave after busy season. Do I say anything to the manager when I leave? I don’t see the benefit but also kinda want them to know
I’m surprised this hasn’t been posted yet. The execution is great, but I’m not a fan otherwise. Was curious what y’all thought?
Hello, this is Simba! He's certainly a king of our house, loves to go on walks and to play fetch. Please hit like if you want to play with him, oh and to also help me out with DMs!
Hi I’m in bizops right now, entry level talent, and recently asked if I could moonlight work from the Product Manager I work with. They said yes and will let me own something small. Do you have any tips for what I can do ahead of this to make sure I do a good job? I’m hoping to have 2 takeaways from this: 1.) see if I am interested in doing PM full time, and 2.) see if I can get pulled into PM internally. Thanks! So far I have ordered a couple PM books and have been watching PM videos.
Three years in and I’ve received bonuses between 600-1500 every year until this one when I received nothing. Our agency line is “we don’t give bonuses.” Should I be concerned?
I have query.
IBM initially offered 25. I want to renegotiate with them for 27.
Will ibm revise?
Hi dear coaches,
Here's a wannabe coach who needs some guidance. I am 26 y/o, have worked in research and corporate world. As i entered the adult world and started working when 20y/o i missed the time i used to volunteer for organizations talking about leadership and motivation. I have a job that fulfills me, working in a top company blah blah but i don't feel i am giving to the world. Social media makes me feel people need guidance. I want be a coach but what's the best way to start?
1.The Industry is changing! How do I go about adapting to this dramatic change where junior creative positions are scarce or not really needed as much. Which in house agencies do you suggest?
