Background: Been with two big 4 firms for total of 3 years ( audit senior for one year.) just got laid off 2 weeks ago. I’m also in the army reserve, and about to go on one year mission next month to support Covid. Does this one year gap of not working impact my job searching opportunities once I got back from the deployment?
Any Strategy& fish willing to chat about an open healthcare role and possibly give a referral if it's a match? Got laid off last week unfortunately and would appreciate any help!
Hubs is starting to interview for senior legal roles. Hasn’t had a haircut during covid, and it’s curly and fantastic. Looks awesome. Does he need to cut it to appear “professional?” (He was laid off in April, so we’re getting anxious)
Someone form PwC answer this - my roommate working for the cyber security group on the west coast is almost always worried about getting fired. 9mths with ur firm and no project. Is it usual??
Best feeling is landing an offer with a 40% raise before layoff, then getting the HR/Partner invite and telling them they could've saved $25k severance because you were about to quit the next day. 😂
More layoffs at VaynerMedia this week. I've survived 3 rounds in less than a year.... maybe this time I start looking for another job?
Unfortunately was just laid off. I’m taking this as an opportunity to look forward to new experiences and people to work with. If anyone knows of any Producer gigs, I’m now available. I’m agency side.
I see a lot of people condemning others for being critical or harsh towards Leadership at their agency, and I want to know why? We should be holding our Leaders to the highest standards and not feel bad about it, because they do the same to us and we are the ones being laid off or passed over for promotions/raises when we don’t meet their expectations, not them. Because indirectly when we fail, oftentimes it is more of a failure of Leadership than just one individual.
PwC folks...how long was your CRT call if you got laid off. I have mine on Monday and super stressed
i‘m just so anxious and have no motivation for work. Want to take PTO.But not sure our company will have second round of lay-off .So I’m a little bit worried whether to use PTO. Keep hearing bad news about layoffs. Don’t know how to adjust myself
Recently got a raise (putting me at 68k). Turned down an offer for 75k to stick it out and company said they can’t match. Management sup was laid off. Account director just quit. Need more $$. ADVICE?
So, just what did Nick Emery do to get fired? ‘Prank gone wrong on zoom’ is all I’m hearing
any insight into the environment at Grant Thornton? I have heard they are having layoffs and their reviews on Glassdoor have been less than stellar lately (ex. “aggressive” “egocentric” atmosphere).
Serious question: What's the reasoning behind all the Deloitte layoffs? End of Fiscal Year, Sells are bad, just curious....
MFW I turn in all my stuff to Deloitte after getting laid off and the IT guy says "congratulations!" as I'm leaving
Layoffs still going on in Deloitte, PWC or KPMG?
Layoffs are the only way the industry will survive. A Great Depression is imminent. There is no other way this will all end.
Networking/informational interview calls within your company— do you follow up with a thank you email after?
I like my job, my livelihood is stable, but it's tough to do famous work here (market dynamics + client + internal capability). How do I get noticed/move to markets like NY/LDN (I'm in Asia)?
Any success with using basecamp as a way to communicate with the client? We’re currently doing that on a project and it seems messy..
Im so sad. I just passed CPA exam and got the 1st job offer in public acct. I was so happy because I had hard time studying for CPA while.working full time. I thought that with CPA you will earn a lot." So sad that they dont understand...
BCG Associate decision round next week. Structure: 2 interviews w/ Partners, 1 live case & 1 written (45 mins w/ materials and 45 mins to discuss findings). Any words of wisdom?
Help!! I am on the job hunt and it’s been more challenging then I anticipated. Are there too many people applying not enough jobs? Any tips ? Insights appreciated
Will Marriott do any sort of rollover? I will have quite a few nights over 100 and want to try to make sure they’re not wasted (other than gathering points)
Is PL in BCG equivalent to EM in McK? Also @MBB folks -- how much time do you give yourselves at the firm?
Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
What kind of base salary can a senior manager (career level 6) based in NYC expect doing Technology consulting with Salesforce delivery projects? For those outside of Accenture, if you are familiar with our career system, how much would similar “senior managers” make at your consulting firm if they live in NYC or other tier 1 city also doing Salesforce delivery? Thanks.
Got my promotion!
Hey Everyone, I recently came across a opening at Deloitte which matches my skill set. Looking for a referral, anyone willing to help please reply back. It will br really a big help! Thankyou
