Seeing all these Deloitte "tellyourstory" posts on LinkedIn and no one is telling their story about the forced pay cuts or unnecessary layoffs.

Why do consulting firms constantly hire and then constantly layoff? Like my firm is laying off people as they reach out to interview new people at the same level 🤣

Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Help! My preteen seem to have gotten lazy with school work and her grades are falling. I have tried talking, yelling,taking things away and I am wiped out at this point. I am in nursing school as well so the one on one she is used to has been taken away.
Any ideas how I can get her to take on school work more independently. I have spoken with the teachers when I saw the grades and she has improved some with doing homework but I need her to study and review materials after class too:(

Anyone have advice for someone who keeps blowing it on the superday?
In general I tend to know my stuff, when it comes to questions and brain teasers, but for some reason I get really nervous and unsure of myself during superdays. I just lose all my confidence and anxiety just takes over. I've lost quite a few roles this way, including my dream one at McKinsey. It's always been this way since undergrad, but it seems to get worse and worse with every rejection.

I just passed my 10 year anni with my agency. I’ve grown a ton professionally. I’ve gotten to hand select everyone on my team. I had three babies over the course of my tenure. WLB is good. Pay is good, not great, but competitive. Overall, I’m happy, the work is challenging, and I have flexibility with my kids. BUT, 10 years is a long time. If I stay longer, I worry it’ll be hard to hired elsewhere. I also wonder if I could be learning/growing even more with new environment/leadership. Thoughts?

My senior is terrible! He is really good at his job but is never available to help me with questions. Hi I’m in bizops right now, entry level talent, and recently asked if I could moonlight work from the Product Manager I work with. They said yes and will let me own something small. Do you have any tips for what I can do ahead of this to make sure I do a good job? Here's a wannabe coach who needs some guidance. I am 26 y/o, have worked in research and corporate world. As i entered the adult world and started working when 20y/o i missed the time i used to volunteer for organizations talking about leadership and motivation. I have a job that fulfills me, working in a top company blah blah but i don't feel i am giving to the world. Social media makes me feel people need guidance. I want be a coach but what's the best way to start?
