Last week at an office meeting the office manager, in front of everyone, without my knowledge beforehand, announced that I was the only person in the office eligible for a senior position. So I’m currently interviewing for another position, to be a business development specialist at a relatively large tech company in PA. I have about a years worth of experience. Indeed estimates the salary to be between 60k-80k, I was wondering what I should expect?

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.

Anyone have experience with side streams of income that they’ve used to supplement their core salary?

Interested to know potential earnings/managing time etc.

What’s the comp most people cap out at if you dont make partner?

So something crazy happened to me last week. I was at the airport, and as usual on call after call. The check in line was going ridiculously slowly and at some point turned threw my hands up in frustration while looking around to find another place to check in. In doing so, I catch the eye of the behind me. He smiles and says something. I just sort of nod and carry on with my call. After that, he keeps trying to talk to me, eventually I got to the check, say bye and leave. At security… tbc

Wife is twelve weeks pregnant. Just found out we’re having our third boy.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

When does morning sickness begin? With my first I started getting really nauseous around 6 weeks? I’m now approaching 8 and not really feeling much. Kind of nervous I’m losing the baby :(

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

We are expecting our first (also the first grandkid for both sides of the family) and our parents have done so much for us- is there a way to make them feel loved? A special grandparents gift?

How much did you all pay for the 20 week ultrasound out of pocket? My 12 week ultrasound cost me $600 so I am guessing the 20 week one would be even more expensive. I have the high deductible plan from United healthcare.

We were not trying to conceive. And I was drinking alcohol like twice a week.
Now I missed my period and pregnant. I am panicking a lot, not sure if I want a baby right now. Definitely i cant deal with pregnancy constantly knowing how much u drinking could have affected the fetus and if i could ever endure the consequences it would bring upon the baby
