Joining one product based company, I'm relieved from current company 5 days before joining date can I revise offer letter to 5 days before is it too much since it's Just 5 days can I just pass it and join at given doj only?!

I work as a Solution Specialist (sales rep) at an Authorizer Verizon retailer. Phone/wireless sales is not something I want to do forever. I have 4 years mobile sales experience and 3 additional years of niche sales/ customer service experience. I’m feeling stuck and every career/job move fells it is a step backwards. Does anybody have any advice on how to power through this or what other routs I could go?
