My very first job was working at a fast food restaurant called Jack-in-the-Box. It was so chaotic and poorly managed, and I was 16 and had no idea what was going on. I remember one of my very first shifts, it was literally just me and the manager running the entire store. Every other person had called out. I was trying to make fries and tacos, run the cash register, and the drive-through all at the same time. I literally cried 😆
Oh that sounds dreadful! Such an awful situation, did you go back? Not sure I would have done.
My first real job, besides babysitting, was a summer job working in an envelope factory. It was a miserable job, I was supposed to be doing light work in the office but I was often put into the manufacturing area, moving stuff around and checking on stock. I couldn't stand the job at the time, but I'm glad I did it, it gave me some perspective on how hard some people work for very little money and virtually no satisfaction.
My first job was stacking shelves at a supermarket. I learned two things fast: customers can spot the one box that’s slightly crooked from a mile away, and minimum wage feels even smaller when you’re sweeping up someone else’s broken jam jars.

My first job was working as a waitress at this bar, and honestly the amount of rude customers or weird questions I would receive was beyond me. I was freshly 16 and out of school. I was paid so little (but that was minimum wage back then for 16 year olds) and oh my was I burnt out, it was constantly busy and long shifts. Glad I went through that though.
I was a teenager and wanted a job so badly. I worked as a dishwasher for a local restaurant. One thing I learned was to stand up for myself. I had an old man that kept inappropriately touching me and I flat out told him not to do that anymore. This was in the 80's and sexual harassment wasn't quite in full swing. He never touched me again either.
