I am in between two exist opportunities. One at amazon as finance manager and one at Microsoft as senior finance manager. Beside compensation, what is your thought and advice? Thanks!
Current PL and just finished a call with uber for rideshare ops manager and they offered 80k base salary (25% of current comp) why would they waste both of our times with a call... who would accept
Am I fairly paid? Promo to manager and new total comp is 170 split as 145 / 25. I’m 100% remote in a very very low COL market. Just graduated with mba and below the new 160 salaries but my avg weeks
Is it stupid to take a pay cut when leaving consulting? I have an offer for an industry senior manager that is ~5k under my total comp but has a ton less stress/hours. (MBB EM)
I’ve been given the choice of a mid year promotion or market salary adjustment (MSA) this July. If I decide to go through with the MSA then the promotion will happen this December. My career manager is suggesting I go for the MSA since the total salary increase will be larger in the long run. Would it be a better career move to take the mid-year promotion or the 💰?
Got 2 offers but in different cities. Atlanta vs Detroit? Both offers pay the same but Detroit has a higher bonus. Both manager roles
Specifically for post-MBA: 1) what's the differential in total comp for MBB vs T2 strategy? 2) how does this change upon promotion to manager? 3) are raises adjusted according to city's COL?
What’s the best level to leave the Big4? SC/SA , Manager, Director? And when I say best, in regards to finding equal or better comp and title in industry. Not trying to have it be a loaded question, but would like to hear anecdotes.
Manager salary ranges at big 4? Name group and location. (Got no response in salary bowl). Specifically looking to see if enough to support fam of 3, possibly 4 (we r trying!) in the NJ area
Anyone have any advice on how to make a transition from B4 cyber to FAANG? Trying to make a move out as a Sr Manager and have had a few recruiter calls but here’s things that I don’t fully understand: - what is the right level to aim for so I don’t get pushed down on leveling - choice between managerial and Individual Contributor tracks - what is the right salary to ask If any of you have made this move or have knowledge about this, I would really appreciate your input! Thanks in advance
Is 160k good salary as a manager in New Jersey? With savings of 300k so far... I am wondering if it is a good time to go back to India.. I mean there is no end to earning more and more ..trying to settle on a goal on US money and saving .. after that I never want to regret once I go back .. I want to go back happily with no regrets and want to feel good about myself that I was successful enough ..
27 / 28 year olds. 5.5 year manager in tier 2 city. Is 165k / 15% bonus enough to jump ship for an industry role? It’s more than I make now...no mba
In industry. Was just verbally promised a significant (20-25%) comp increase plus title change to manager. I was originally planning on attending grad school in the fall (have accepted admittance to a top school for a masters non-mba). Now very unsure given clear upward trajectory where I am. Any help on how to think this through would be appreciated
As a new audit manager, is it a good career path to leave for a senior financial analyst role at a large Fortune 500 company? Salary is about 10% more. Or should I keep on looking for a accounting manager job?
Currently in TC making 112k. Up for Manager this year but recently got an offer for a JUNIOR product manager role with 145k salary + 50k sign-on + RSU from pre-ipo startup. (Continue)
I'm currently a Tax Senior Associate/Digital Accelerator (5 total years of experience) and I am considering a Tax/Tax Technology Manager offer at another firm, but I'm not sure what's an appropriate Manager salary to request. Any input?
I’m up for manager promo this summer. Can anyone who was promoted during 2008/2009 share how their promo year raise or bonus was effected due to the recession?
I had my FY performance review two weeks ago and received an equivalent of 4/5, or “good performer” standing. Problem is, I’ve always asked for feedback and have made transparent my openness to constructive criticism, but my manager always says I’m performing well and doing a perfect job. Post-projects I’m told I’ve nailed it, made significant impact, etc, so I honestly expected 5/5. I dont mean to be b*tching, but 4/5 screws with my bonus and salary and I’ve been grinding hard for this
Am I being fleeced?! What is the expected comp for Business Operations Manager after you exit consulting? Got an offer for 130k base, no sign on and very little equity Am I being lowballed? I have other analyst friends who exited MBB to make 150k base plus bonus at series D tech companies, is that way you have seen too? #comp #MBB #Exit
Thoughts on KPMGs Workday practice? Outlook? Work life balance? Salary? etc. looking at a possible manager role there.
Moving to industry at Sr. Manager role. 180 base, 35% yearly bonus, 38k sign-on bonus, full relocation. Currently, Manager and make 171k base. Good offer? I know the company has great WLB and (contd.)
Current M1 looking at an AWS L6 prog. manager offer with year 1 TC of $246 ($155 salary, $83k Y1 sign-on, 90 RSUs over 4yr vest). It's slightly below current base + Tier 1 bonus (after tax)
I have an FP&A offer at a place I really want to work at and could see myself there for a long time. It’s senior level and pays pretty good. I’ve always thought about TAS and the firm said they will move me there if I stay. Should I stay with the firm and move into TAS? The salary is about the same to stay and I could make manager next summer. Completely torn.
Is there generally a salary premium for people in M&A Tax compared to Core Tax, and is it substantial (10-20%+) at the Senior level or not until you get to manager and above?
2 years of experience as Senior Consultant at Tier 2. 4 YOE total. Looking at Manager roles at Big 4 and Tech. What should be comp expectations?
Do any of the big 4 or other accounting firms have an international tax group in Austin, Texas? How big is the group, what is the type of work does the group generally perform, and what is the general senior manager or director level salary?
What does it mean when recruiter says my base salary is too much? I did not even meet the hiring manager they basically called me to get salary range. Have I simply been written off?
I’m (most likely) being promoted soon and my manager asked me to put together strong argumentation/supporting evidence for a high salary increase — suggestions on how to do so?
Would you exit (+30% more salary - less work - good company but potentially more narrow role) when you have a substantial shot to Senior Manager this year (I.e. 6-7 months until decision takes place)?
Bad etiquette to negotiate salary further with competing offer? Hiring manager bumped expectation by 5% on initial call, then another 5% in verbal offer. Would sign ASAP for another 5%.
What are the salary levels like at Invisors? Particularly manager, senior manager, director roles. Thanks.
ACN Senior Manager @ 175k or D Manager @155k? Same practice (Human Capital) with larger bonus potential at D. All thoughts and opinions appreciate!
Wanting to simplify work life without significant pay cut. Making $260k base. Where could I get that same salary and can it be done at senior manager level?
Anyone willing to share non-MBA manager salary levels at your firm? Curious to see what the market is at and whether the grind is worth it.
Trying to get a pulse on manager / senior manager comp packages - here’s your chance to flex - I’ll start
Big 4 consulting offer, FAANG program manager offer, or financial services industry offer? Assume they are all for same comp package. What would you take?
I want to apologise for my previous compensation based post - a big D director sent a screenshot of his bonus - I thought I was a baller but it turns out I’m not. 🤐
Have any of you passed with just Ninja? I’ve had it with Wiley as i have issues using their website at least once a week. Thoughts? Recommendations?
If you schedule 12PM meetings for people who are in the same time zone and your thing isn’t urgent, you’re a MONSTER
Damn love sleeping in until 11/12pm at least one day a week. No client requests or stupid internal initiatives that I have to worry about.
FB peeps, what is your revenue model? Your app is incredibly useful, and renders blogs like deal breaker useless.
Roller coaster of emotions when you are #2 on the standby list for an earlier flight, and then you freak out that it's not a direct flight, and then you check and find out it is. More updates to come.
How does on get global services on United. Anyone figure out the threshold yet? Based on experience, it's not miles. If it's spend, and Platinum is $12K PQD, maybe it's $20K PQD?
Is it true that you can take a sabbatical before reaching manager? And if so, where can more information be found on the details / specifics (duration, terms, etc)?
After four years, still receiving feedback that I'm not delivering good quality work, not building client relationship, or not contributing to the team. Really feel like jumping off the building.
Anyone else aware of their carbon footprint re: travel? Is it absolutely necessary to travel this much?
If I offered to buy you dinner and drinks with no expectations except just to enjoy some good company for the evening, would you believe it and take a chance? M🐟 here
