Anyone (or know anyone) with experience at GMMB in the creative department (as opposed to PR, etc.)? I’m interviewing there and have read some troubling reviews on Glassdoor, especially around workload and burnout for non-senior staff. Given its size, I want to investigate whether that is company-wide or in certain departments.
Any Product Marketing Managers able to chat with me? I’m prepping for an interview and PMM would be newer work for me so doing all I can do to prepare. I have previous marketing experience but haven’t been super engrained. This possible opportunity will be in eCommerce/retail.
Are thank you emails still a thing after interviews? Trying to decide if I should send one or not.
How long does it take an agency to forget you interviewed there? I interviewed at an agency in March. I described a negative experience I had at a previous agency and they thought I was being openly disrespectful and I did not move forward. Do agencies keep any record of candidates to avoid?
Does anyone know what agencies are allowing fully-remote hires still? I’m looking to move to a new agency and want to make sure that I’m applying to places that won’t have intense RTO mandates.
Does anyone have any experience moving from accounts to creative? I’m currently in the late stages of interviewing for an account coordinator position at an agency but my goal is to get into copywriting. Should I take it if I’m offered it? Or wait on my other copywriter apps?
I’m interviewing with an agency that shares a client that I worked on at my prior agency that I left 2-3m ago. If my non-compete from that agency has the language “Employee shall not directly or indirectly solicit on Employee’s own behalf or own behalf of any other person, firm, or corporation, services similar to those provided while employed by Employer from any client of the Employer…” that doesn’t preclude me by being hired by this other agency…just from working on that shared client, right?
Why would someone cancel an Interview I had scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 4 am on Sunday?
Thoughts on mentioning poker as a side hustle in an interview? I have a 5-month resume gap in which I played poker professionally to pay the bills while applying to other jobs. If they ask about the resume gap, should I even mention it?
I feel like it's one of those things that could be a big differentiator if the recruiter is open-minded. But some people (understandably) view poker as pure gambling rather than an exercise in probability/game theory.
What would you guys do?
Anyone know what life is like at OMD especially in todays economic climate? Entertaining a interview at for a AD Analytics role as the pay would be almost a 70% increase from my current salary. Thanks!
My lack of emotion, which I really struggle with, turns some people off. Should I just mention I’m not an emotional person in the beginning in the interview?
What’s the best way to go about applying for a job at your client? My boss knows I’m not particularly happy but I think they like me, so maybe start there and get their buy in to advocate for me? Put out a feeler with a close client? Apply through the website? I just don’t want my current company to know I’m looking if this doesn’t work out 😆
Has anyone ever been uncomfortable with an assignment during interview process? Based on our convos, it seems like they would benefit greatly and learn a lot that they don’t know yet if I actually completed it. They could definitely use that knowledge and not hire me.
Context: This is for a tech company, in which assignments are normal in the interview process. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Applying for jobs during the holidays- when should I expect to hear back?
Interested in learning more about R/GA. Heard a lot of mixed reviews and I want to know if it’s worth applying.
Does anyone here have advice on how to present work you’ve done for an interview? I’ve never had to do this before and I’m unsure about even the simple things (e.g. should I just present the work like I’m talking to a client? Do I jump to the most interesting parts or is seeing the full flow part of sharing the woek?)
I'm an American and I have an interview with one of the agencies in Singapore. Anybody have any useful tips or commentary?
Currently interviewing for a WPP Agency in NYC. Anyone have any insight on benefits, PTO, etc..?
Does anybody else feel like Zoom is hurting them in job interviews? I personally am far more charismatic in person than I am hunched over talking to a webcam.
For the past four months after graduating college and moving back to my hometown, I have been searching high and low, far and near for an assistant account executive position at an agency. In those four months, I have been networking with professionals, applying to as many positions as possible, and still nothing. It is a dream to move away and one that feels like it keeps getting further away. NGL I've been depressed. When does the waiting end and my career journey begin?
Hi everyone, I am getting ready for a job interview, and need to create a media plan. I was hoping someone can help me with the next task: basically, I need to create inventory recommendation based on past performance. What I am very confused about is that they gave me Booked Impressions (=4M), but in the task it says I should assume there is unlimited inventory. Am I supposed to use this 4M only to calculate spend, ROAS, etc., but can actually have unlimited allocated impressions? Thank you!
Hi, I have a 2nd interview with VMLY&R South Africa. Is it worth pursuing, what's the culture and benefits like?
Had a call with a recruiter this past Friday (for a job in media). Thought it went well—she mentioned the hiring managers are busy interviewing for other roles, and that one of them is on personal leave. I haven’t heard any updates since—am I already being ghosted?
When the job is in a big city like SF, and the company is known for an in-office workforce, how optimistic should I be about the interview? I’m not even close to the city. It’d need to be remote. HUGE company, probably look great on my resume.
Job description say nothing about remote options.

What do you think of a company where you’re about to have a second interview and they just no show for the Zoom meeting? This is after I met with the CCO and a Partner during the first meeting. Second meeting was supposed to be with Founder and President. But he no-showed. Getting very disorganized and unstructured vibes, but I need a job :/
I think I lowballed myself in a recruiter call, giving a 10k range. After thinking it over I am definitely leaning more towards the higher end as my minimum. Any chance I’m saving that when I do my first interview?
Anyone from RPA AGRNCY here? I have an interview for Honda? Any advice? Is it a good place to work?
I’m beyond angry. Agency liked my book and wanted to interview me. Recruiter talks to me first and asks a million questions. I answer all of them. Now because the recruiter made me out to be some kind of ass they won’t interview me. Why should this person have so much power?
Been interviewing a couple of people for a Jr/Mid role and have been coming across quite a few who proactively position themselves as just “Creatives” who don’t want to get involved in actually crafting the work. Not sure how everyone else feels but to me, your first few years in the industry should be about mastering your craft as much as humanly possible. You just don’t have the experience to critique ideas properly before you’ve learnt how to write and design a good one on your own
In talks for a Creative Director role at a large tele-com corp. I received this feedback below from the hiring manager. What exactly falls under digital-centric design and what should I focus more on showing them?
“Do you have any case study format of a project you've worked on that was digital-centric design? Seeing more conceptual creative, we need design.”
How long does it take a CD to find a new gig? I have been looking for a year and nothing has popped up. Got rejected for four roles after interviewing. Only 6 roles have shown up. Starting to get depressed.
Recently laid off and interviewing for new roles at the senior brand strat/AD/director level.
I am in the healthcare space - please tell me everything- companies to stay away from, salary ranges to expect, etc. Any info helps because I am looking to stay somewhere long term after being unexpectedly let go.
Feeling insecure about a role I’m interviewing for. The job posting said a minimum of 2 years experience and I only have 1.
I have an exciting interview lined up and was wondering if it’s customary to connect with the CD on LinkedIn prior to the interview? I haven’t spoken to them directly - just through HR. Any other tips are well appreciated too :) thank you!
Hello! Does anyone here have experience with Nova Group Marketing in NYC? I received an interview invite from them but googling is giving me mixed reviews
Thanks in advance!
Interviewing with EY-Parthenon for director role. Anyone have any clue what kind of questions I could prep for? outside of my experience and what I’ve done.
Hi! I am interested to know more about Paylocity culture, job security, life/work balance, career advancement opportunities, benefits and pay. I’m having a interview soon but I’m reading mixed experiences between Glassdoor and indeed. I’m interviewing for implementation consultant.
I have a case interview with Huron coming up for a role in their Healthcare Transformation team and was wondering if anyone on here has any insights on what style case they tend to utilize? Any tips or prep recommendations are appreciated.
Is anyone else having a poor experience with recruiters lately? Either they are dropping the ball or the interviewers are neglecting the protocol entirely. Was told that for my next round with a company, the questions would be entirely behavioral so I don’t need to review any technical concepts or practice potential technical questions. Was completely wrapped up in hypothetical behavioral questions drawing from past experiences. Come interview time, I get hit with the following questions…
What is the difference between roles as a Senior AML Consultant vs. Senior Analyst Global Anticorruption and Financial Crime Compliance? Considering applying.

Spoke to another B4 about an open role. Got the conversation through networking and mutual connections. After a few chats the Partner said HR will reach out to me. Anyone know if this means formal interviews are next or if they may extend an offer?

Interviewing for various roles and on almost every occasion, HR or would be line manager is 30 mins/ an hour late. I find this a huge sign of disrespect. Is this the new norm? Venting here!
What would a 30 minute interview for a F500 Corp dev role entail? Any modeling or would the assumption be mainly behavioral questions ?
does anyone have any prep materials for Capital One’s sr business analyst case interviews? I have two weeks to prepare, but I haven’t done a case interview in a couple of years

Hey fish, I’m coming up on a year post PhD and this job has drained a lot out of me. There’s not a lot I enjoy: overpromising partners, annoying clients, endless iterations (from either client or partner), poorly scoped KOL interviews, long hours… The only reason I haven’t quit is the US healthcare system’s reliance on employer provided insurance. Where can I go with ~1YOE post PhD? It feels like nearly every job requires a lot more and I just don’t have it in me to push through another 1-2y…
Hi Fishes ,
Im looking for a new job.

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.
