My department manager treats me terribly. Please help! I have been working there 2 years now. My department manager clearly hates her job and her general work attitude isn't good. She isn't nice to most people but she seems to particularly take it out on me - I don't know if this is because I try to be extra nice to her because honestly I'm scared of her. It's becoming a real problem and I'm starting to dread going to work... I don't know what to do!

Manager Ratings: Generally speaking, in consulting, for a long term project, if there’s a team of 6 people (1 person managing everyone, and below that person 5 different people who are associates or senior associates) is there pressure on the manager to give at least 1 of the 5 associates/senior associates a bad review? Assuming everyone performed anywhere from good to great, would a lot of managers feel it would make them look bad to let all 5 have a good review?
