Talk about that time when you had a successful sale due to active listening or any soft skill. Be specific and show it in action. I knew the client mentioned xyz earlier on, so I was able to use that when it mattered, for example.
If you’re worried about sounding fluffy, attach the soft skill to a hard result. Like saying, "My ability to listen helped me retain 90 percent of my accounts last year." That’s measurable, and it tells them you know how to link people skills to performance.
