My position was eliminated.

Went to work for a small company after 9+ years at a much larger company and now my position was eliminated at the smaller company. The small company paid very well and now I’m facing a pending restart at a much lower salary and job title. Going from a manager to an inside rep.

How can I negotiate the best way to get the base salary as high as possible so I’m not as dependent on the uncertainty of the economy and the commissions based off that?

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?

Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. I am not ready for team leader's role now . So my question is about HR area, where could I find a job with my only Russian experience? HR generalist, C&B analyst, HR BP, recruiter?
