Time frame for Crochet Braids depends on the type of crochet hair being used. If you’re doing crochet braids, crochet twist, crochet passion twist or crochet faux locks, you’re looking at being able to keep them in around 6- 8 weeks with proper maintenance of your hair underneath. Yes, you can wash your braids underneath in all of these crochet styles as the hair tends to maintain it’s original structure. I wouldn’t go longer than 8 weeks as your hair is only in cornrows underneath and you want to detangle and treat your hair between protective styles. This is just a suggestion based on personal experience, I’m not a stylist.
Thank you! I’m looking for crochet passion twists. This helpful
With the crochet, it also depends on how your hair grows because if the cornrows underneath grow too much, it will look rough like the hair is hanging low due to the growth from the scalp.
I'd stick to 6weeks
I prefer them also because it's much quicker style 2-3 hours!
