For those of you that fly out of EWR often: I have an early morning flight tomorrow (around 6am). What time do you recommend getting there?

Planning to fly parents from India DEL to US EWR in 2 weeks (Dec). Odds of getting upgraded to business with United plus points? Any experience would be helpful to hear about. If low odds, would rather book them in business instead of trying our luck.. Thanks!!

Is United Silver premier worth it? I never have enough spend to be anything above basic but I did a few trips this year and I am 875 PQP and 2 PQF short to silver premier. I have a lot of what ifs in terms of travel next year but thought it would be good to get. I may do a quick trip to lax or phx next month to get me there that will cost about $900-$1100. Ideally I would have liked to visit a friend for a weekend but everyone else is traveling. Thoughts?I’m based near EWR

I’m on this United flight which is sitting duck at EWR because of the rains. The flight attendant tells me I can’t use my laptop while we are just sitting on the runway with no signs of movement and the captain already said they will announce when they hear more .

Is this some protocol ? Or is this guy just being an idiot?In my years of flying this has never happened especially when the delay is indefinite.

I was at EWR and the cashier got mad at me for not tipping. It was a self service store. WTF is going on! Tipping expectations are getting out of control.

Flying United EWR-PTY Panama City on a 737-900 where I can pay to upgrade to business for $189 or $273. Business is 2-2 on this aircraft, flight is ~5 hours and I am premier silver. Is it worth paying cash for the upgrade? This would be a solo birthday trip for myself.

FYI, if you’re flying to Hawaii on United in June, they cancelled all their east coast flights to Hawaii from EWR and IAD. UA never told me about this, I found out on a travel blog.

Can some one share eid prayer timings for places in and around Newark. I fly in to EWR at 9am, and would wanna find a prayer around 9.30/10am around the area.

Please don’t make fun of me for asking this but is it safe to go to NJ performing arts center in Newark. There’s a Whitney Cummings show that I want to go see, and maybe grab a bite later. But I am going alone (5’3, 30 F) and I have never been to Newark before (except EWR) so I am rather scared if I should get tickets. I have only ever heard horrible things about the place like Chicago south side.

just another complaint about EWR: Terminal B international gates specifically.

The way the walkway goes around the whole outside of the sub-terminal meant that half my flight boarded, and then the gate had to be closed so a different flight could disembark, walking between us and the plane. 20 minutes later we could finish boarding.

Who designed this? Who scheduled it? Didn't seem like there were any delays at the time, everything was functioning "as intended".

Is it worth using a one-time pass at the United Club at EWR? How are the clubs like there nowadays? Assume Terminal C.

Live in midtown east, and I have to get to EWR by 4:45am (6AM flight).

1) leave at 3:30, MTA to Penn, then NJ Transit to EWR
Or

Planning a trip to London & Lisbon from EWR. I plan on using United excursionist perk so it will be 60k miles + $150ish in fees for both cities. However, I saw a TAP Portugal flight and both cities will cost me $500 RT. I’m thinking it’s better to go with TAP and save my United miles. Thoughts?
